You sound like you may have PTSD. Qualifies for a medical marijuana card. No hangovers, if you stop there’s no withdrawal, and you’ll still be more “aware” than you drunk friends.

Funny how you can get drunk as all get out at Tiger Stadium, bet through your phone on any point spread imaginable, but a plant that has medicinal value is something I shouldn’t be saying! I’m in a legal state so it’a weird to see all the reefer madness. People on here or all pro-pot but when you mention it you’re downvoted. Drunk? No problem-it’s encouraged! And you can get drunk and gamble anywhere!

It’s really bizarre how easily drinking and it’s problems/gambling and the problems they can both give families. But pot isn’t an option for y’all. Something that will reduce pain. I don’t recommend anything, but you shouldn’t need alcohol to have fun. Are you fun?

Whether you need to quit or not is something only you can decide. I will tell you if you try to quit and find yourself having trouble that AA meetings are a great place to start. If you don’t like the first one make yourself go to a second, still don’t like it try to find a different meeting but AA is an amazing tool

FWIW I quit drinking nearly 2 years ago and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made

This is 100% true for me. My problem was far advanced but if you are even suspecting you have a problem you probably have one. You know yourself better than anyone else don't lie to yourself.

Sober 1.5 years. Not a day goes by where I sit back and say "hey I want this again" don't get me wrong it would be so nice so sit back and have my drink of choice but I know myself and if I do that it's over.

After some time has built it becomes easier. Now you are playing against yourself and don't want to lose all the progress you've made.

I envy the normies.

Got a couple problems.

A. Anxiety. Weed panic would cause PTSD.

B. Can’t smoke. Parents smoked when I was a kid. To smoke anything would disgust me.

C. I have tried Delta 8 gummies. Did not like them. I felt very little and what I did feel I was not a fan.

Edibles are really something I would try. No “reefer madness “ here.

I lose self control too easily when I drink, so I gave it up.

No shame in it at all. I feel great.

And this thread just got even more gayer.

The pathetic thing about this thread is those who are bought into the idea that you have to drink to be masculine.

When I was in my 20's and 30's I was constantly harassed at parties for not drinking. I'd be there, having a great time, laughing and joking, and someone is constantly insisting I drink. WTF? A bunch of pussies who need everyone in lockstep in order to feel validated?

That’s not true. Many heavy marijuana users have insane nightmares and vivid dreams when they stop.

drinking alcohol is borrowing from tomorrow's happiness. a slight buzz is pleasant, but anything more is no longer viable. hangovers hurt too bad and last too long when you're old.

im 100% for legalization but many people work in industries where still have to drug test. Its also crazy where yall keep pushing weed as its everything. Nothing wrong with having either some drink or a little weed on a friday or saturday but nobody needs either 5 times a week. Way excessive.

and many of yall talk about it relieving pain. WTF pain are most people in? Most people may hurt a little, but its mainly cause they are fat and out of shape. People that complain about pain all the time and havent been in a terrible accident are mental midgets or pussies.

its funny these threads always deliver on who the Pieces of shite are.

yea i go out to dinner with my wife. I get 4 times a week if you are young and in college and single. But if you are older and have a family...wtf are you doing going out on a week day?

and getting out much has nothing to do with it. and yea i know its not unusual in S LA, been here my whole life...still fricking pathetic.

Lol!

This is true. I drink about twice a week, usually 1-3 drinks and I still feel that's too often.

If I drank 4-5 nights a week, even just one or two drinks I'd feel like arse.
