In all of these scenarios, dozens and dozens of unvaccinated people ended up creating negative externalities that negatively affected others.

Is healthcare a right or not, libs? We were told with Obamacare its a right and my body my choice. Which one are we going to stick with? Cant have both.

Full icus have happened before covid and will continue to happen.

in random, isolated events, sure. or for acute seasons of disease (like the flu), sure.

but this is a long-term event that is in no way random. that argument is gone now, too.

So now a covid patient outranks a patient with some other life threatening illness? Surely one of the covid patients could have been released to go home. I have lost a lot of respect for the medical community since about a year ago. As has been stated an infinite amount of times on here - it's all about the money.

You will want to close your eyes when the next real flu season hits.

That's an acute, annual issue that hospitals can plan for.

What we are dealing with now is in no way a flu season. When was the last "flu season" that led to intermittent shortages lasting months over an 18-month (or more) period? 1918?

He's arguing you don't deserve health care if someone vaccinated needs it.

That's fricking retarded and right out of the authoritarian playbook.

Covid created so many progressives.

It does make one wonder if hospitals are admitting patients that may not be critical just to bump their numbers up.

Right. you believe its a moral imperative. Those who "deserve" it should be treated ahead of those who don't.

Pure progressivism.

No I'm saying that if you're unvaccinated and you take up a bed that leads to a person without covid being denied service, you bear personal responsibility for that.

Quote me where I said that healthcare should be denied to an unvaccinated person.

I know fall is around the corner but that's a huge straw man for mid-September.

Wrong. You're making value judgements. thats a limited service

Youre playing right into the old morality playbook. Didn't take much to get you there.

Who bears that responsibility when It’s a vaccinated patient taking up a bed?

Yes. The normal referral patterns of the hospital were likely disrupted and they hadn’t bothered to plan for that eventuality. That’s not the fault of the unvaccinated.

It has been months and the hospital didn’t have a plan. Embarrassing for them. And then they sloughed off the burden onto 43 other hospitals that received an electronic referral.

Was the Meridian hospital the first one to respond to the referral and the social worker closed the file? I would put the odds at somewhere around 80%.

Exactly.

I'm vaccinated. Don't give a frick if there are no beds available.

This is just to shame those who aren't vaccinated, right out of the left wing authoritarian playbook.

SFP was a liberal, became libertarian, now is flipping back to progressive.
