What responsibility do hospitalized, unvaxed people bear when they deny others healthcare?

A Man Died After Being Turned Away From 43 ICUs At Capacity Due To COVID, Family Says
This is an extreme example that may not be fully true, but there are hundreds of other similar stories who didn't result in death. In all of these scenarios, dozens and dozens of unvaccinated people ended up creating negative externalities that negatively affected others. If this case is true, they killed this man, effectively.
If you are unvaccinated and you end up taking up hospital resources, you're ultimately denying healthcare to others. This is a zero-sum game at this point and there is no way around that fact.
This completely removes the "personal healthcare decision" argument from the table. If your choices lead to a negative outcome to others, then your choices are well beyond just a personal choice. This is the part of the argument that many unvaccinated people refuse to admit (For obvious reasons. Nobody wants to admit that they're a villain).
Also, this is nothing like the "obesity" counter re: heart disease. Yeah obesity causes all sorts of personal issues that negatively affect that individual's health. But, at this time at least, there isn't a dramatic increase of heart/diabetes cases that are causing hospitals to deny healthcare to others. As soon as that happens, this argument will have some logic, but it's not here, presently.

Maybe they shouldn't have fired those nurses and doctors who didn't want the jab.

There are plenty of others, just not ones that led to such a dramatic ending.
Any denial or delay in service is a problem.

Wait. Was the man vaccinated?

None, otherwise we have to blame everyone for what happens within the third or fourth degree of every decision they make.
Are we going to let hurricane Ida victims go broke and destitute because they made the "mistake" of living where hurricanes hit? I can make the argument that their decision hurts me, thus I can demand compensation.

Yea, like people have said, tens of thousands have died because the administration politicized the virus

I'm not promoting the government mandating a vaccination. How am I being an authoritarian?

In recent months it seems that NOLA had plenty of ICU beds per the LDH chart .. is it far from this guys hometown? Sure. Is it a bed? Very likely.
How about they "blame" the nurse/staffing shortage?
Do I worry about my dad, who has 2 working arteries, not having a bed should he need it for a cardiac emergency? Sure but I'm not going to blame people who choose what they feel is right for them. I'm going to blame hospitals for treating staff like shite.
Full icus have happened before covid and will continue to happen.
Still sorry for the loss for that family.

As someone who works in healthcare I can assure you that this is a bunch of BS.
There are so many inefficiencies and problems with the system that if even improved slightly would allow for so many more patients to be cared for.
Instead of trying to improve the system and prepare for surges of sick, many in healthcare have continued to complain how hard THEIR JOB is and just keeping whining about the unvaccinated.

There doesn’t seem to be anything in the linked article that would indicate this actually had anything to do with the man’s death.

Bingo.
Most of the drama is fabricated. Nurses and doctors locally have lied their asses off.
Overly emotional types get "touched" by this faux drama.
