Why the hate for cargo shorts?

Cargo shorts are probably more out of style than anything else in America right now. The picture below is the look that is in.

Trim, aesthetically pleasing, not bulky… the polar opposite of schlubby cargo shorts

Have on a pair of khaki colored ones right nw. Will switch to camo in a bit.

Dang I don’t keep up with the fashion trend. I wear cargo shorts often actually just bought me a 2 new pairs off Amazon lol

Cargo shorts are for guys that don’t give a shite about how they look. That’s cool too. Whatever.

But no man with a concerted effort to look like they care about their presentation to the world walks into their closet and goes …”ooh cargo shorts!”

I was in the Army, I can't function without large pockets on the side of my legs.
Where would I put my spent magazines?

I like to play golf in them. More pockets for my stuff.

They have become a stereotypical target for hate, kind of like the mullet. While that makes the hate go overboard, there are a host of reasons not to like them. In hot climates, the extra layers of fabric needed to form pockets will just be inherently hotter than a single layer of fabric. And in any climate, filling the pockets will make the person look like a bulky mess. Having that much weight attached to a moving object with nothing but fabric just looks silly. This is especially bad on the lower pockets near the knees. Having the bottom of your shorts swinging around and bouncing off of your legs makes you look like a jackass. And then to swing back to the beginning, if you aren't carrying a ton of shite, there's no reason to be wearing them in the first place.
