He is not. He is a genuinely nice guy. At least that is the impression I got.

I guess "nice guy" is a relative term.

His wife died after a lengthy battle with cancer. Within a month or two he was fricking one of her best friends/assistant when she was living. A month or two after that he proposed to her, but she said no. That really caused a riff in his family.

Last year he got into a huge fight with his daughter, Lyssa I think, because he was going public with her suicide attempts. It was 100% for publicity and not at all his decision to make. She didn't want him to, but I think he did, anyway.

He married another woman that the family barely knew within the past couple weeks. That's his sixth marriage. No one seems happy about that one.

Everything is hunky dory, publicly, with the family right now because there is money to be made. They are about as dysfunctional as you can get, and alot of it is directly related to Dog.

So your son comes home w/o the girlfriend he went on the trip with that just so happened to be living with you and you go camping? Sure...not suspicious at all lol

Speculation:
Mom: Where is Gabby?

Brian: We broke up and Gabby flew back home to New York. I took the van and she will come down later to pick up her stuff.

Brian walks around house depressed for a couple of days and parents decide to see if he wants to go camping to take his mind off the break-up.

So implausible.

Right. So why aren't the parents being leaned on very heavily. Seems like they could be arrested for obstruction of justice or something.

It all hinges on when their actions occured. If what they did happened when Brian was a person of interest, or before, they were doing nothing illegal. They haven't talked to police, so it is hard to catch them in a lie regarding what they may or may not have known. That was their smartest move.

Let's say that there was a murder you were named a person of interest in. Let's say that murder became a cold case with you still being a person of interest. Years go by with the case being unsolved, yet you're still a person of interest.

Do you think that under the law, throughout those years, anyone who may help you in any way should be "leaned on" by police?

A person of interest has no restrictions on their movement or actions. Therefore, it isn't illegal to help them fly to Mars if you want.

Sounds like he was eavesdropping on some Louisiana baws while he was by himself at a bar and then flipped out about them being “stupid Southerners”

They probably check camera footage of people coming in to pay at the gate. If it’s set up that way, at least.

I think this is an important point, people are assuming what we know today is what the parents knew back then; you cannot make that assumption.

My guess would be he would want closure for his parents/sister/family. He would want them to know he was dead and leave them a body to bury/cremate.

Maybe, or maybe he wouldn't want his parents to be the ones who find the body, and he would know that if he went out in public to do it in a place where his body would easily be found he might get arrested. Or maybe he tried to run away to the woods, but guilt or despair made him kill himself there.

It's all just speculation, but I don't think it's really fair to say that "if he killed himself, we'd probably know it by now."

The only news I've heard about his investigation was that the Laundrie Family went camping at Ft. De Soto 9/6-9/8

This true, Dog figured out that the Laundrie family went camping for a weekend after they claimed they went camping for the weekend. That is the only evidence the Dog has uncovered.

Again...did you guys not even read? Again...multiple media outlets have reported that he was the one who received the tip about Fort DeSoto.

"Dog the Bounty Hunter has barged into Florida chasing Brian Laundrie, a person of interest in a search that has shined a national spotlight on the inequality of media attention on missing persons cases.

According to Fox News, the reality television star received a tip that Laundrie, the fiance of slain travel blogger Gabby Petito, had been spotted at Fort De Soto in Pinellas County."

What local authorities were saying at the same time Dog was focusing on DeSoto...

"“At this point, we’re not conducting an investigation in Fort De Soto,” said Travis Sibley, a spokesman from the Pinellas Sheriff’s Office. “We are not aware of any confirmed sightings of Brian.”

So no, he didn't just "figure out that the Laundrie family went camping for a weekend after they claimed they went camping for the weekend."

You guys just gonna downvote again, or are you actually going to provide a link refuting the information I'm providing you?

Then there's the other body found in the same canyon as Gabby's body was found. About the same time of the year. A Texas alone.
The search for Gabby found his body.

Is that really the same canyon? Teton Pass is a good 40 miles from Spread Creek.

That article says the bodies were found in the same area, but I think that's only because both were found within the confines of Bridger-Teton National Forest, which covers over 3 million acres.

Closer than the dead newlywed lesbians that some people seem to want to tie to the Petito body.

He was "spotted" during a period of time that he may not have even been a person of interest, much less a missing person or fugitive.

Sure, he has "sources" or got a "tip", but no one knows what his basis was for that information.

He is telling LE aboot every tip he gets. I saw him say in an interview, that he immediately called LE aboot this one. Your saying " no one knows what his basis was for that information." should say, You don't know.

At least four. This only strengthens my belief that aliens were involved.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Dog is rolling to a remote site where he says Laundrie is hiding. Dog says he'll be at the site in less than an hour. We're told Dog had obtained information that leads him to believe Laundrie was alive and moving around as of 10 PM on Tuesday.

How awesome would that be?
