If they found record of a plane ticket or some kind of money trail involving the parents, then yes, they would be in trouble.
Not disagreeing but why? It’s sketchy and immoral, but from all we know there isn’t a search warrant so anything they would have done is to help their not accused of anything son travel.
I’m not a lawyer, but this is sort of why I didn’t understand the police looking to charge him with something like grand theft of a vehicle earlier so that they could potentially keep better tabs on the family and BL. Waiting doe a harder charge meant allowing him total freedom.

I am that guy, but I have been semi off the grid this week.
What is the cliffs on this, who is Gabby Petito and what happened?

How the frick didn't they have someone parked outside his house 247 to be sure he didn't disappear?
He hasn’t been named a suspect. You want someone camped outside your house to make sure you don’t disappear?

calling off the search for Brian would indicate the cops don't believe a search and rescue is necessary at the moment.
Probably because they believe the parents are hiding him somewhere, or sent him somewhere else.

FBI Tampa Twitter
#UPDATE: The #FBI is executing a court-authorized search warrant today at the Laundrie residence in North Port, FL relevant to the Gabrielle “Gabby” Petito investigation. No further details can be provided since this is an active and ongoing investigation.

Good point. I suppose they would have to have proof that the parents knew he killed her and then bought him a plane ticket.

Parents weren't arrested. They were put in a car while they execute the search warrant of their house. They might get arrested later. But, they aren't as of now.

Your link does not say that.

I don’t think they were arrested. You’re not allowed to just sit there while they conduct their search, I believe.

I did, so why the hell is this almost 200 pages??
I tried to read the last 15 pages and you are all rambling on about Natural Born Killer scenarios with killing Lesbians.
Is there more to this or just the standard murder-suicide drama?

Dumb question...
If, and that's a big if, BL is still alive and he is found/arrested/charged for Gabby's murder, who handles the prosecution?
Is it the Teton County, Wyoming DA, or does it go into a Federal court since it happened on Federal lands (National Forest)?

The black van that the parents were placed in is currently still on location. The parents have not been arrested at this time.

The first page gives the cliffs, the first stickied reply is Chicken with a full detailed timeline. I don't know what more you want.
