I love the simplicity of that Omega.

You know anywhere I could get a Calatrava 3919? Is it easiest to just get one from a professional dealer on chrono24 or a good seller on WUS?
While I would normally say a WUS seller they come up very rarely on the for sale page. There always seems to be a lot of them on Chrono 24 and better yet a lot located in the US. The best bet would be to try to find one within driving distance and go see it in person.
One suggestion unless you have already worn a 33mm watch is to get a Timex or something else cheap off Amazon in the 33/34mm size and wear it for a while to verify you like the size. I will reiterate I would like to see an old Calatrava in person mainly to see the aging of the dial. While a lot of people will suggest the 3919 has a fired enamel dial to the best of my knowledge it is laqured. This is why you see some with lots of small imperfections and different degrees of yellowing. Some people find this endearing and I do with vintage tool watches I want a vintage dress watch to be more pristine and there are plenty of 3919s that are pristine without a massive premium if any.

What model number is this watch? Never noticed a shield with that design. I suspect the domed crystal could be throwing it off.

Just glad we made it the first page without the mandatory "my phone tells the time why do I need a watch?" comment.

I only own four watches, a Kenneth Cole I received as a gift, a Citizen Eco-Drive I liked the face of, a Citizen Blue Angel watch and an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean. The Planet Ocean is my favorite.

I love all the vintage tudor subs in this thread.

The crystal is not the original, but it was plexiglass with the cyclops date window. It belonged to a guy who taught me basic overhaul in Katy years ago. Early 90s I think.

Would be really neat to be able to disassemble an automatic movement and put it back together.
You have a straight down shot of the dial. I like studying different dial variations of the old Tudors.

Very cool but I don’t think it’s water resistant.
It was at least “water resistant”.

I have a Zodiac, white fiber face with blue numbers. Mom bought it for me a few years ago. It's in storage, so no pics sadly.
My dream watches are a Decartier or a Mont Blanc.

Only other watch I have and I traded a Beretta shotgun for it.

I can't explain why, but I love the Oceanus line.
And for durability, it makes a Seiko look like it's made of egg shells.
That reliability comes at a price.
Because of that my next one will likely be something from artifice horoworks
