Marathon’s anthracite series is a cool version of that.

I just bought this one. I like it but it’s hard to read in dim light.

It’s darker in person.

I don’t have it. I’ll never own it. But I want a Franck Muller Crazy Hours, particularly the Peanuts version:

But I’m poor, so I wear a Citizen Promaster Diver most days:

And an XKD Remote on the other days:

Frankly I’m amazed these are less than $50k.

There was a time when the FMs got first cheap on the used market but they have gone back up. The Snoopy will likely never be "cheap" since it is a Bamford collab and I think only 20 or 25 made.

Have the 124060 Sub, waitlisted for the VC Overseas. It’s the best looking blue dialed watch out there.

If they weren't based on an ETA 2824 they would be a lot more expensive. Ressence makes some cool watches and look very cool in person but so do all oil-filled watches. A while back a lot of people were modding quartz watches (often the Casio Marlin) with 3M Fluorinert, it was expensive even for recycled fluid. It is used in industry as some sort of thermal conductor, not sure if they ever found a cheaper fluid that had all the needed characteristics including being thin and being dielectric. The modders inspiration was the Sinn UX divers.

I went on a tour of the Franck Muller manufacturing facilities near Geneva. Incredible experience. A worker changed gold to rose gold for us and we held a 2.5 million dollar watch with an immense number of complications

Saved up for about a year to grab my favorite Seamaster. A few weeks before placing the order my $800 daily wear tension pin broke on my band and my watch went to the bottom of the lake.
I can't justify anything over $1k for a daily but I'm jealous of anyone with an Omega.

That was my first high end watch purchased in 2019 when the new caliber first came out. Have added several watches since then, but that one still gets its fair share of wrist time — it’s an awesome watch.
