Over/Under on how long until the cartels have had enough of this and it gets blown up?

LINKED ARTICLE

This month, Amazon will open a $21 million state-of-the-art warehouse in Tijuana, Mexico, that abuts a housing settlement made of cardboard, tarp, and wood scraps along the Tijuana River, less than three miles from the U.S.-Mexico border.

The images have drawn comparisons to dystopian science fiction. Amazon's founder and chairman Jeff Bezos, who recently travelled in a rocket to outer space (and then thanked his workers for making that possible), is the world's wealthiest person.

Looks like Baton Rouge in 10 years after more climate change dries it out.

So someone builds something nice in a bad area that has jobs and that’s a bad thing because it doesn’t match the shitty surrounding conditions?

I thought climate change was going to send Baton Rouge under water?

Honestly, is this anything more than dodging taxes and accessing super cheap labor while being really close to the US?

Bezos' robot sentry guards will protect that place well.

Why is this a problem? Maybe this business will help the surrounding community.

It probably won't be touched. Now, will they get some guys on the inside to do some dirty shipping? Likely.

For a small fee, the cartels will protect it…and use it to their advantage.

Why would a cartel blow up an Amazon shipping center?

It’s that many more packages that get added to the already massive amount attempting to be monitored every day

Make no mistake the Cartel is getting a cut somewhere/somehow or it wouldn't be standing.
