Spin off from the power outage thread. Anyone have Charter/Spectrum back yet? East of 59, south of 1088 I still dont.

Nope. Canceling after this and switching to att. Their customers have internet in my subdivision.

As posted earlier, cable guys can’t get on the poles until cleared by electric guys. Unless you’re really lucky, service is gonna lag behind power.

I'm in Forest Brook off 1088. When the power came back Wednesday night, so did Spectrum. that was around 8pm. By 2 pm on Thursday, it was off and has been since. You can't get any sort of answers from Charter at all.

Spectrum went out before my power went out Sunday night. Still not back on in my neighborhood yet as far as I know, but we don’t have power yet. Off 1085 and Brewster. Neighbors with generators had ATT wifi working whole time.

Havent seen a charter truck.
Att fiber has worked the whole time in my neighborhood.
Its not really charters fault that trees fell, but im switching after this.

Had Spectrum back when power was restored a few days ago (190 N of 12)….
About 24 hours later, down and hasn’t been back since.
Enough of their shite….. I’m done with them.

A tree severed the line (copper) running to the house. I called ATT and the "specialist" asked me if I restarted my gateway. I told them I have no power. She then checked to see if any outages were in my area. She found it to be out. Told her the line was cut on private property. She then asked me if she could set up a service ticket. Why yes please do so. She then told me since I didn't have the service plan that if the technician were to find the trouble in the house I would be responsible for the bill, fine, whatever. Appointment was for yesterday between 8am and 4pm. Anybody want to guess what didn't happen?

I'm in TCE off of 21. The subdivision installed fiber about 6 months ago. As soon as it was installed I dropped Charter. Our subdivision never lost internet through the entire storm. If you had a generator to power your modem and wifi router you had internet.

Yet another reason fiber > copper.
Almost all underground.

Charter fiber optic line was severely damaged. They have no time table for restoration. I’ll be going back to direct tv and att internet this week bc my 3 year old cannot understand how lucky we are to just have power and we need internet for my wife to work from home.

I don't know because I don't have power.
