You were probably denied for the housing portion because you have insurance. They then apply you for “miscellaneous” and that is the 500 dollar payment. Virtually everyone is getting that if you are in the affected area.

If You go check your fema account, it will probably show a new “miscellaneous” application and be pending.

I tried to apply the night before last and kept getting session expired or this application can’t be completed right now messages. In case anybody was having the same issues, I was able to get it to go through this morning.

I want to say I heard our dickhead gov on tv or the radio saying that FEMA has been told from those up top to make sure anyone that needed help got it. Apparently they have like $40 mill or so that they haven’t used since covid hit.

Nope mine just says assistance from FEMA and under it, it has Housing Assistance and then Assistance from other agencies with the SBA information

It keeps asking me about damage to my home, nothing about miscellaneous expenses. What if there was no damage but I did have miscellaneous expenses?

The disaster relief page is a joke as it doesn't ever seem to want to load, was trying to check the correspondence with fema and it goes offline

If y'all are buying stuff to take care of your houses, like chainsaws and such, make sure you keep the receipts because fema will pay for them.
