T-Bob pretty much said the same thing. Lets ride!

It’s all for show. He knows they aren’t going to really check for cards. But now if it spreads LSU is not on the hook because they “did something “.

What kind of tailgates have you been to?

but sitting in a stadium not touching is where the line is drawn

Game attendance outside the stadium will be higher than inside
To be fair, that was always the case.....maybe a bit amplified now lol

Good ones, unlike you apparently.

Several times, but that’s unlikely to be happening this year except for maybe Auburn or Florida, and both are rebuilding.

Good to know the China Virus can't be spread or deadly at a tailgate but only in the stadium. And thank God we are masking those 5 to 11 year olds or everybody would die.

No crying. Just pointing out the clear contradiction.
But feel free to point out the logic in requiring that anyone entering the stadium has to be vaccinated or produce a three day old negative test under the guise of "stopping the spread" while that SAME person, literally minutes before entering the stadium can be exposed to multiple unvaccinated people and, perhaps, symptomatic people outside the stadium without the need for any restrictions whatsoever?
It is perhaps something that LSU will not say publicly but they don't want large numbers of people hanging out on the campus without a ticket and have no attention to go to the game. Now, not talking about a family lets say grandparents, parents, kids, etc, where somebody hangs out and watches the tailgate site and picks things up as the game is going on and watches it on a TV screen in their tailgate area.
So just looking at statistical probability, they are pricing into the model so to speak that the overwhelming majority of fans who do come on campus are either vaccinated or have a negative Test recently in order to "mitigate" as much a possible more COVID-19 spreading.
The 25 to 30 year old guys who don't have a ticket and just come to campus to hang out and drink all day, some to the point of public intoxication, truth be told LSU probably doesn't care if they decide to stay home. And in full disclosure, neither do I.

Who is making this shite up? A monkey?
What I get from this is Woodward was not onboard with the vaccine/test restriction for games. That decision came from JBE/Tate. But at this point who knows.

This just encourages MORE people to do this
And it’s *intention.

In 30+ years of attending LSU football games most tailgates have generally the same setup/activity. Dozens of people gathered around in a relatively small area (usually under a tent of some sort) sharing buffet-style spread of food, drinking, talking and otherwise just enjoining each other's company. Shaking hands. Hugging. Some dancing. Many playing music loud enough where the only way you can have a conversation with someone is to stand almost literally shoulder to should essentially yelling at one another. Or in short, a party with a lot of close social interaction.

so youve never been in a full tiger stadium?
I've been to a full Tiger Stadium many, many times. Pretty much all of those occasions have been me sitting in the same seat next to the same few people for the entire game absent a trip or two to the concession stand and/or bathroom. In fact, I'd venture to say I encounter MANY more individuals, in close proximity, during 2, 3, 4 hours of tailgating than I do sitting in my seats for the football game where I'm in close proximity with the same 5-6 people for the entire game.

He also said people can get prescreened during the day so it can be easier to get in the stadium.
Did he say the location of these screening stations? Will they be all around campus?

Cool, just need to dish out a grand to get a decent tailgate spot, or get there 12 hours early.

I think they will announce more about that on Friday.
Posted on 8/25/21 at 8:53 am to The Pirate King
God forbid, people have the choice of congregating outdoors with no mask or vaccine police.

The Friday announcement is going to be the testing Lsu will run for fans (minimal amount), vaccination mobiles setup on campus, and pre screening during tailgating so you can bypass some lines going into the stadium
I want to believe, but I also think they are just trying to save face and stop people from cancelling ticket sales only to reverse the decision on friday and have people get stuck with the tickets.

That would be a terrible decision

I agree and the likelihood is probably very slim, but the slim has won recently even if it doesnt make sense.

Makes sense to allow people to tailgate with unvaccinated individuals, without masks, for hours on end and then put restrictions on entering the stadium.

soooo...100% tailgating OUTSIDE TS...proof of vac or negative test INSIDE TS. Makes perfect sense LSU.
