Just like my ex-wife and another female “role model” for my 9yo daughter to look up to.

While I agree with the logic, you don't quit, but look at how these young kids are treated these days. Sometimes they really don't have a choice. Simone may have finally gotten to the point to break free.
Think about the travel ball. Little Brayden may not even like baseball but he is good at it at 10 years old.
Think about college football. A kid happens to be 6-4, 260 lbs in 8th grade. Never played football, HS coach talks him into playing 8th grade and he wrecks everybody. Florida rolls around and gives him a offer. The kid get put on a train that he probably won't get off until he gets kicked off.
Parents go crazy, a lot of Hype, kid may not like it but he is big and great. He will coast through HS. Top 10 recruit. Gets to college, his heart still isn't in it, skill and size catch up with him. He struggles and drops out. His final stretch on the train is to then spend 2 years or more listening to everyone talk about the latest bust.

quote:What is this clueless shite? I'm not sure we even know her politics. What a sad little world you live in.
Oh wow. She is a terrible role model. And MAINLY because she is black, probably liberal, and somehow linked to Kamala Harris.
quote:Okay. You're a moron.
Just say what you really want to say. We got your back!
Mix it up with your media intake. MSNBC alone rots your brain.

What did Kamala Harris have to do with her withdrawing lol

Wut
I’m with you completely on the other two, contemporary liberal and kamala.

If this was an individual event I dont think people would be that upset. However, she quit her TEAM. If I had a daughter that was an alternate I would be FURIOUS for her just quitting. Should have quit before the Olympics to give another girl a shot.

Well, these are both terrible things. Then again, they could also be tied to her mental health issues.

Is she a liberal progressive communazis?
If so, then no, she won’t regret bailing on her nation.

It is a bizarre and sudden turn for this gymnast.
She is an undisputed success, a tremendous gymnast. She has won just about everything and dominated the sport leading up to these Olympics.
Then she has an average performance by her standards then up and quits, citing mental instability.
I can’t help but see this as a microcosm of young American society today at large.

But be honest....not because she quit the Olympics. People withdraw all the time. She was just high-profile and a sure-thing...so she made headlines.
Just say what you really want to say. We got your back!
The victimhood mentality of most blacks never ceases to amaze me.
It's a huge weakness.

Nobody will touch it, but you can damn well bet that the reason she quit is that she was getting pressure from the WOKE LEFT on the Team (other sports) who were making a stand .
They did not or would not publicly accuse or blackmail her with the 'cancel' or public call out card, but they don't have to...it's there. She had too much power to ignore, as a Black role model.
It will be impossible for anybody to walk the fence anymore; she is the best example of this. She'll have to chose; the pressure has just begun. The 'games' will never go away; she can't 'quit'...none of us can.

She’s probably going to be the next Collin Kaepernick…. Nike will probably through her 40-60 million

Probably push back on the weird gas lighting that she did anything but quit
