At 40 years old a skunk ran out from under my truck. I jumped straight up and landed on two feet on my tailgate. There were two 17 year old boys there who couldn't believe what they just saw. They proceeded to double foot jump into the bed of my truck and both busted their shins wide open....Feels good being a gangster or maybe I just feel bad for our lazy childrens...

I also think I'm the only person I've ever met that never dropped a class in college

The first time I took my wife golfing I aced the first hole. She wasn't impressed but it's still a happy memory for me.

I performed flawlessly at kindergarten graduation, counting to 100 by 10’s.

The girl who got to count to 100 by 1’s said “61” twice. I would have aced that one but the teacher was playing favorites.

When I was a junior in high school my math teacher asked me to go to the county math contest. There were 104 schools, and I think you competed against others in your grade. There were a couple of people from my class that had been going every year, but I didn't know it existed until I was asked to go as a junior. So that's 104 schools, and I think the schools were allowed to send a few people per grade, so you're competing against a lot of people. The top ten places in each class got a trophy.

So I came in 10th place in my class and got a trophy on my first try. The other guys who had been going every year didn't get jack shite in all the times they went. I was still pissed that my teachers didn't ask me to go until junior year, and yes, after that I was pretty smug about that trophy with the straight-A students who had been going every year. I still have that trophy.

I'm only five foot nine inches tall but I had a 38 inch vertical when I was younger and could dunk pretty well. I could also run endless 5 minute miles.

I got 5's on every AP test I took in High School. AP European History, AP US History, AP Economics and AP Literature. When I switched majors after my freshman year I didnt lose any progress because of this which was kinda nice. For AP European History I didnt take in in 10th grade like the rest of my classmates because I heard the teacher was a retard. A new teacher took it over my senior year that I had had 3 classes with already (World History, AP US and a WW2 Class) and he asked me to sign up and take it with him and help some of the 10th graders adjust to the class and what was required. Best teacher I ever had

I was in a mildly successful punk rock band from the time I was 14 through 25ish. We started out as just four friends that went to high school together (in a tiny class of 80 people) and ended up getting a record deal and touring after about 6-7 years of playing shows all around Arkansas and the surrounding states.

We disbanded after recording our first full length album because the lead singer and bassist didn't like touring and wanted to go home to their girlfriends at the time. I was pissed.

The pinnacles of my short career as a musician were: buying our first food with money we earned playing a gig, getting recognized in an AT&T store while paying my phone bill, having sex outdoors with a "groupie" in Texas that had just watched us play, and opening for Fallout Boy and Panic! At the Disco before they were big

Made it into Mississippi’s version of LSMSA and got a full ride to Harvard that I turned down. It’s all been downhill since.

Goofed off in high school, grades sub par, played the football team captain and meathead role.

Ended up beating the brainiac Math teacher who was also the organizer of annual chess tournament. Lost in championship match to the Egyptian foreign exchanged student by a smidge.

Fast forward, one mid-life crisis later, just earned 2nd master's degree from LSU earlier this year.

Unless for a post like this one, no one would ever know or care (rightfully)

I won 3 separate art contests in high school that my art teacher put me up for. 2 paintings and 1 sculpture.

My friends never knew because I thought it wasn't cool to be artistic. I never picked up a paintbrush or clay after high school and I'm 41. Not even sure if I'd be any good anymore.

shite, my job is as right brained as it gets, so I don't even use that natural artistic/creative skillset.
