Obviously I need to kill it with fire, but I need to know how much fire to use.

They eat skeeters and flies. Let it live.

I have two fear settings for spiders.

1. Normal, I see a spider and dont think twice about it.

2. Four wheeler fear factor. Let it wrap around my face and I lose my entire mind.

nope

Actually I used to hate spiders, specifically these bananas spiders. (Long story but it involved hunting when I was very young and walking to the deer stand and ending up with on of these crawling on me)

They're good ole baw's and quite fascinating to watch if you get the chance.

Nothing like walking through the woods when hunting in the fall and looking down for signs of game and run into those huge spider nests stretched between 2 trees and come face to face with one of them.

That's not a spider.

That's a fricking tree lobster.

I also grew up calling them writing spiders, in GA. I hate spiders but I leave these alone because at least they have the common courtesy to put a big zipper-like signal in the middle of the web to keep birds and humans and whatever else from walking through them. And I appreciate that. That's the kind of evolution I can encourage.

I've never been bitten by one, but I've read the bite is pretty nasty. Not like a recluse or widow, but still above-average as spider bites go.

Never seen so many of them things in my life as we did during the 2016 flood, navigating wooded areas of AP trying to get to people.

Banana spider, they will bite but rarely and don’t hurt much. Leave him. Not only do they eat bad bugs they will also predict weather for you if you know how to read them, but there is nothing like walking in the woods and sudden realize ones crawling on your face or something. 100 times at least, never been bitten but may have taken a few days off my life. Lol.

I miss them used to have tons in the yard. They left when the bees left. Must have had some relationship with them

You haven’t lived until you’ve run through one of those webs on a four wheeler in the pitch black headed to a deer stand in the early morning.

My daughter catches them in the woods and brings them up to the house trying to get them to make a web on the porch so she can watch from the kitchen table. Never works
