We've had multiple outages lately and I'm ready to move on. What do you guys use? I mean, most of yall are pretty smart, right?

Well, what are your choices? In my market it's ATT or Cox and ATT only offers 25Mbps service last time I checked. So, it's a pretty easy choice.

It depends on where you live. If you're in the Baton Rouge area can you get AT&T Fiber? If so you won't get anything better with Cox. Eatel is increasing their fiber in Baton Rouge so that might be an option.

Just moved, my att fiber at the old house was off the charts good. It was gigabit or someone like that. Forgot what they called it. Have Cox 300 at the new house, no att fiber here. I miss it dearly, Cox is terrible.

Cox is the only option in my area as the best AT&T will offer me is 25mbps. 1 block over has fiber

With that said, all providers have their shitty issues with outages (daily at my office for 2 weeks w Cox) and terrible customer service

Same boat as I am. Only 2 possible connections atm are Xfinity and ATT and with scared of her own shadow elderly mother only Xfi does the security install and monitoring as a part of the base package. $150/month for her to watch Fox News and have alarm system, smh.

ATT Fiber has been spectacular for me, but it all depends where you're at I guess.

AT&T fiber is not an option for some reason. We're in BR and they're putting it all over the place but apparently not in my hood yet.

Tell me about Cox Gigablast. What is this?

Not sure about that...

However of my two options ATT came out day one, was fast, and has almost never been out. While Spectrum couldn't get my service installed on four separate occasions, each time requiring me be there, and after promising to send out their best installation crew (and a service manager). They never could for a variety of reasons... so how could anyone expect reliability or a timely fix.

Hint: cheaper is not always better.

ATT is doing a full court press in BR right now. When I bought this house, fiber wasn't available. Right around closing, ATT trucks started showing up in the neighborhood. It was available for install about... 3 months? later.

Because yeah, ATT Fiber is sexy...

I remember a few months back, I decided to check on ATT Fiber at my address. Basically people were like "Oh let me check..." then they'd transfer me and transfer me to eventually a person who was like "We don't even know what that is..."

I think the only way to get it is to cancel your service then call about getting new service.

We use Spectrum - very little to complain about. My SIL is on AT&T and hates it.
