It's always a Republican that pusses out. Always.

quote:

Louisiana Republican Sen. Patrick Connick has reportedly flip-flopped on his support of constitutional carry and may not support the vote to override Gov. John Bel Edwards’ (D) veto in special session.
On June 25, 2021, Breitbart News observed that Edwards’ vetoed the constitutional carry legislation. The Daily Advertiser pointed out that Edwards vetoed the legislation while claiming current state law requiring law-abiding citizens to get a permit “strikes the right balance.”

A push for a special session to override Edwards’ veto was immediately underway and the Associated Press revealed that special session will be held this week.

However, the Hayride highlighted that Republican Sen. Connick is “refusing to support overriding the Governor’s veto of Constitutional Carry.”

The Hayride notes that Connick is allegedly “trading his vote to override for infrastructure funding in his district.”

The GOP must die.

I always suspect it’s either bribery or blackmail that changes their minds.

Well first off they aren't really Republicans, just repackaged blue dog democrats for the most part.

What are the chances he actually gets that funding once he votes against the override?

This was always how this was going to play out.

Remember this during the next governor's election.

You can always count on a Republican to flip ... Democrats stick together no matter the consequences, but Republicans are a bunch of limp dicked losers.

Yes, and Schexnayder is positively not Republican. Or conservative.

How do these spineless shitbags keep getting elected? Its like they have dominion over voting or something. They all need to die a tyrant's death.

It disgusts me how conservatives have to fight Democrats and RINOs at the same time.

God forbid there ever be a DINO to help out Repubs. The ones who come to mind are merely holding out for the pot to be sweetened, but they will, when the chips are down, fall in line with the other Dems.

They always do and we’re left with spineless shitbags on the GOP side.

I've dealt with Connick a couple of times a long time ago regarding an event... he's an a-hole through and through.

When it comes down to one person being the major deciding facing a "conservative" state, that shows deeper problems. Such is the case in many states.
