I-16 in Georgia shut down in both directions after dump truck plows into overpass pillar..

Shifting it 6 feet!
Dump truck runs into bridge in middle Georgia.
For our LA baws, I-16 runs 170 miles from Macon to Savannah. This happened East of Dublin, about 60 miles from Macon. This overpass is on the same exit we used when we stayed at an AirBnB in south central Georgia the night before my baby sis graduated Georgia Southern.
I-16 is one lonely stretch of road. You can also haul some major arse. 90 is a popular speed on that highway.
The interstate is shut down thru at least Saturday at this exit and the 2 following exits. Baked ham for anyone coming/going to Savannah this w/e.

That would have been a hell of a thing to see to watch that truck slam into the bridge so hard it shifted the roadway.

I got a $280. ticket, clocked by a trooper driving in the opposite direction at exactly 90 mph on that very road near Statesboro.
