- I was expecting something really dramatic...maybe some full-blown melt down or something at the dinner where all the guests were present that ended up involving most of them, if not all of them. We didn't get that.
I was thinking this would happen as well. I was picturing a scene similar to the climax of "Crazy Stupid Love" with everyone in the backyard.

I appreciate this show because it took a few turns I didn't expect and it provides plenty to debate about.
I think the ultimate message of the show is the privileged always come out on top.

finally watched last ep. Fizzled out like the rest of the show.
Scat scene was unnecessary. You can't find a way to show two of THE best sets in Hollywood right now, but you show gay rim jobs and scat porn.
HBO gon' HBO.

I kinda agree with that, but not super surprising with who wrote and directed it.

It reminds me in some ways of Big Trouble. On episode 4 right now
Wait, the mother shows up on honeymoon? Damn, throw the bitch out.

Just finished, and one thing that bothers me is that Paula didn't text Kai to warn him that the mom was going back to the hotel. Even if she didn't have her phone, she could have pretended to be sick and gone back to warn Kai.

I’m not reading this thread. I’m two episodes in and I despise this show so much I can barely take it. I literally hate every single person on it and want them to die.
I don’t understand why this is so popular.

I honestly thought the best part of the show was the music. Amazing how it really set the tone and made otherwise ordinary scenes really tense.

I finished it. I was entertained at times. Hated almost everyone.
The absolute worst of all the people: Paula. I know the writers clearly didn’t intend that but she was by far the worst. Just a holier than thou, stupid, ungrateful bitch.
Every dinner conversation I wanted to slap the absolute shite out of her.

If that’s what the writers were going for, they failed.
Everybody hated her.

Finished this last night.
I think I ended up hating Liv more than Paula, but they are both pretty vile people. That said, I was really hoping that it was Paula's body being loaded on the plane.
Armond dying from that stab wound seems a bit of a stretch, it would have punctured a lung, but they already had help coming to the room.
One weird thing, maybe I missed something, I thought that Shane and Rachel were supposed to be going on to Tahiti and not back to the mainland?
There were also some hilarious moments, I thought the best was the dinner cruise when Shane and Rachel were trying to have a romantic dinner but get involved in Stiffler's mom's breakdown. I was cracking up.

stab wounds are such a mystery in hollywood filmmaking

To be fair, Armand was hopped up on every drug imaginable at that point. So a shock to the system, like a stab wound, could maybe send it into override and cause him to die.

I'm guessing Tahiti got put on the backburner because:
1) Shane just accidentally killed someone
2) I don't think he knew she was staying with him until departing at the airport (might not be remembering this part correctly)

Yeah, it just seemed as though the show did a good job with the details right up until the end.

I'm finally watching this. Zero issue with Shane being pissed they screwed them over, but as soon as they refunded and the wife doesn't care get over it.
