I thought the ending was a little bit of a letdown. But overall, it was a pretty decent ending. I did not like that Paula got away with no repercussions for her actions. She even remained being friends with Olivia.

Both of those girls suck and they are a good representation of what youth are today. It's easy to be woke while at a luxurious Hawaiian resort.

I hope Kai turned himself in that way he may get lenient punishment.

I did not like Armond's ending. I liked him the most.

Felt bad for Belinda at the end. Having to start another week coddling rich people. I bet she wanted to slap the shite out of Plop's wife when she was whining.

Plop's marriage won't last. She will be miserable and he will eventually cheat on her.

Don't really know what to say about Stifler's mom. Kind of boring storyline.

They should have written the son to be 18. Would have made more sense.

I enjoyed the series.... it was different and ended nicely.
I totally didn't see the scene with Armand and the suitcase coming... but we actually DID see it coming . Has there ever been a scene in history that actively showed a man shitting with the turd leaving the body?

Plop did such a great job acting that character. He’s such a believable dickbag.

The actor nailed that role. His facial expressions with every line throughout the series. And The scene where he was talking about needing a gun and acting out how he was going to attack was spot on for a spoiled kid trying to act tough, but has never been in a situation where he had to defend himslef

I mean the show is a satire, so the ridiculousness and exagerration of the characters is pretty expected...

he really did a pretty great acting job to be honest. he wasn't in the office, but he played a great dick.

The writers messed up, you know his mother would have been at the resort after the stabbing.

I need Armand to have a twin brother for the Fiji resort for season 2. ( just an idea )

Paula is such a thunder count . Hope her lifelong guilt is way more than whatever white guilt she tries to make everyone else feel around her

Edit: after thinking about it, even if they didn’t do a twin brother, cast Armand again and have season 2 set before season 1 and Armands accent sounds Australian-ish to me and then at the end of season 2, have him being informed of a transfer to the Hawaiian resort. Bam.

Wouldn't mind an Armand prequel spin off -- preferably from the time when he was previously off the wagon.

This is what I liked about the show and absolutely was not expecting. The show really painted the liberal progressive woke youths as total assholes. You could even at times see Olivia accepting that her parents were not so awful w their views that she had preached were so antiquated

Kind of refreshing by HBO to portray this.

It was a good, not great show but I’ll recommend it to others because it was interesting. I think I’m going to miss that score the most. It gave the show a signature for sure.

we started watching Succession right as White Lotus was starting. As luck would have it, we finished the 2nd season finale of Succession right before watching the White Lotus finale.

It's been a treat to watch both shows simultaneously with each of them featuring top notch musical score. Both shows did a great job of accentuating the moods

I thought it was good and like others have said it was different than the cookie cutter stuff being put out today. Don't have much faith a Season 2 will be as good but will still give it a try.

Yeah, that part was stupid. There is zero chance that his parents wouldn't have immediately noticed him not on the plane and done something about it. In fact, they would've likely noticed it on the jetway well before they boarded. That just felt like some "feel good" thing thrown in for the audience that just didn't make sense and was super forced. They could've at least made him 18 if they wanted the character to stay there.

Yeah I decided to look past that and not overanalyze it. Of course there's no practical way for it to work out, but it's still a fun thought to just say frick this I'm staying in Hawaii. And maybe his parents are still self absorbed enough to forget about him, or the airline crew decides to be dicks and not let them off the plane to go get him.

I figured this was done on purpose to show she is just as shitty as the family. She threw the shell necklace away and just moved on. That kid's life is ruined and she'll go back to her "bubble" back home.

Her virtue signaling was on point.

Belinda's reaction to not getting the backing for her business really bugged me. It's not like Stiffler's mom hadn't been pretty much blowing her off every time that she mentioned it after Stiffler's mom made the initial proposal.

So she gives her an envelope stuffed with cash and it's almost like she's insulted. They were both using the other to get what they wanted. Just take your massive tip and be happy.

I see both sides of it, The Rich old lady kept mentioning to her that they SHOULD go into business together, so I see Belinda's reaction, and I see the other side mentioned above. The old lady explained her self pretty clear and did give her a WAD of cash to either get the funding started or take a nice vacation on her own. didn't bother me either way.

Nice interview with creator Mike White:

Mike White Accepts the Criticism: The White Lotus creator understands if you feel conflicted about that ending. So does he.

As soon as I saw his picture, I realized I knew White from the School of Rock, as Dewey's responsible, wussy roommate. White also wrote the movie.
