Wow, in 2001 Alabama had the second highest baseball attendance in the country? Amazing how far we've fallen.

Good find OP. Ive gone through some archives before, but never this early. I think the earliest ive seen is 2003 material.

This needs to be on the front page still.

For me, TD solidified its place as the Alpha badass site way back in 2012 for the Mickey Shunnick investigation. You know damn good and well that Lafayette PD used a lot of that thread to help with its own investigation. So many dimes and assists in those 900 pages. There were twists, turns, sadness, anger, but at the end there was mutha effing Justice Served thanks to TD and the OT! Cheers you glorious bastards

This part should have never been dropped:

Now, I'm going to be honest with you: this site will most likely suck and you may be offended by some of its content. So I apologize now if that happens. If you have a problem with the site, please email I.have.a.problem@tigerdroppings.com and we may get back to you ASAP.

Joseph B. from Gretna was ahead of his time:

What's with Tulane and BYU playing in the BCA (Black Coaches Association) game last weekend? Are you freakin kidding??? It should have been called the Black Players Association game. I didn't see one black coach on either team. Hell, BYU is in Utah. I thought Utah had one black guy in the whole state, and the latest census figures shows that he left. Tulane....shittt....that's the biggest cracker university east of the Rockies...Black Coaches Association my arse...

It’s weird that having a 2008 account is old now because I missed so much from that 2003-2007 epic age.

Twenty years and we still haven’t found the perfect OT 10. I’m guessing it’s gonna take at least 100 years.

Been here since 07, mostly lurk but do so every single day.
Here's to the next 20 years!

Cool, yeah they started before Reddit.
I’m having trouble figuring out the reason behind why they failed, comparatively. TD is MySpace, it got early SI fame, it was one of the first viral social media platforms acknowledged….but they decided to bend the knee & cash in too early….No porn, no nekkids….not even hand bras
Why did upper mgmt bend the knee, if the mods weren’t such counts about censoring and such the platform would have grown larger than it has.
I
1. Was it conservatism & patriarchy? Mods thinking “be nice to m’lady” and don’t chase off bld, rar, ttp, nrs, tgrl, etc…so they put in place rules so that their precious petals weren’t touched? But they still blew away.
2. The more respectable side, but more a dumb move, they tried to cash in early. The internet was a place you went to express & entertain yourself in ways you can’t in real life. These guys thought they should make a platform that ‘advertisers’ would like, so they purged the instigating & provocative talent in favor of common man drivel with accompanying t-shirt & coozie ad revenue.
Whichever it was, TD restricted what made the internet great and lost what could have been…
