Remember the days when you could camp in the parking lot for tickets? I worked for a ticket company called Front Row in Houston.

They would drive us out to a location with money for eight tickets and party materials. We would buy the tickets in the morning and turn them in for cash and a ticket or whatever combination we wanted. I always took a ticket and cash. For every show.

Nine out of ten times, we would always get tickets in the first ten rows. I've seen hundreds of concerts. No way to pick a best of.

Most memorable, the J. Geils Band with Jon Butcher Axis. Lots of life lessons learned that night. Good times!

Sport, it's AMAZING (and laughable) the ignorance of the downvoters when you posted Prince.

I GUARANTEE that if they could ask any of their favorites

1) their opinion of Prince as a live performer and all-around musician.

2) how do they rate themselves compared to Prince.

The answers overwhelmingly would be GUSHING admiration and "I'm not even a pimple on his arse" in comparison to him. I've seen WAY too many "gods" from all genres do what I just described above. And I don't think it's hyperbole, or them just being gracious. They KNOW IT.

Prince's problem with a significant percentage of the mainstream was his weirdness. A lot of the good ole boys on here never cared to get past that to find out how great he was. And that's ok, this is America and we all have opinions. Just never doubt he is held in the highest esteem by the legends of music.

December of 1996. I was there. Opened with Angel with the Scabbed Wings and then into Lunchbox. Stuff was falling from the ceiling.

I was there. That was a good one for sure. The weed smell in the PMAC carpeted walls must have taken forever to get rid of.

I saw them open for Def Leppard a few years back. They really surprised me, I didn't think their music was well suited to live shows, but they put on a hell of a show.

Sounds shitty. Why do people like it when a musician shows up wasted to perform?
