Congrats to everyone who participated in this challenging challenge!

First place goes to … awkward pause … Me! Crab and Oyster Stuffed Artichoke with Hollandaise

Second place - LSUBoo - Artichoke, Spinach, & Garlic Stuffed Smoked Pork Loin, With Fried Artichoke Petals

Third place - Got Blaze - Artichoke Boudin & Artichoke and Crawfish Spring Rolls

Submission Thread

Next ingredient will be announced later today. I have something in mind, but will accept bribes and/or suggestions if you want to change it.

As to LL’s question/comment about the frequency of the challenges, they are currently every three weeks. Changing to every four weeks (sounds great to me) is up for discussion, as well as other changes y’all might like to see.

Thank you to participants, voters, and lookey-loos.

3 weeks or 4 weeks doesn't really matter... I guess I slightly prefer the quicker turnaround, but really I'll participate more often than not either way.

ETA: Congrats!

yours was the clear winner to me.

eggplant might be a good next choice, plenty of ways to go with that.
I’ve enjoyed watching and learning

Congrats to all! I love artichokes and loved seeing every entry.

I really thought we were going to see a lot of stuffed artichokes with bread crumbs, olive oil, garlic, Italian cheeses and the like, but Darla, you went outside of the box in a big way!

(And, you didn't even cheat to win as you've been accused of doing on the OT by a certain poster and his minions. )

Ignore them and the minions sent. If they don't like watching the food network channel board and misinterpret it as food snobs, why do they read it?

Edited: because this is what they crave, attention.

Moving on from the elephant in the room. Darla you are great, you do a good job and your dish deserved to win.

I will give you five dollas if you pick a dessert ingredient. Coconut, pineapple, cherries, cream cheese (cream cheese frosting is too die for)

Or for us green horns, a simple red beans and rice so I can copy all the recipes.

I am clowning, pick whatever you want because I just gave away my five dollas.

Yours was top notch. I also like the eggplant suggestion. I don’t enter, but follow closely and have tried to make some of the dishes. Great Work.

I’ve been considering eggs, but hopefully as a main component, not just an ingredient, like in a cake.

I would be saddened if it were every 4 weeks, but I understand. For me, I don't care if there are 6 entries or 60. We always see something innovative and amazing.

I havent submitted and won't vote but I have been involved obviously. The 4 week idea was floated between us to kind of give the contest a more set timeline.

You could announce the ingredient on the 1st and use the last week of the month for the submissions, voting, and results. I say a week because I wouldn't do the submissions and voting on a weekend(Fri-Sun) if that were the last 3 days of the month.

Your dish looked great

It's really my dishes. She just drinks wine at the counter and watches me.

Gotta let her have something imo
