Guess LSU is too good to get excited about baseball?

The only Fortune 500 company headquartered in Louisiana is Century Link and they are in Monroe.

Entergy is headquartered in New Orleans. Pool Corp. in covington is just outside the 500.

We get excited where it counts at the paid attendance numbers

You’re seeing other teams this weekend at the height of their hype, but no one fills the stadium every weekend (from opening weekend on) like us

Like opening weekend one time against Maryland and it was cold as hell. We had 7,104 actual when not many teams would have even had a thousand it was so cold

Yeah, no atmosphere is cool if the tickets are sold.

I know that a lot of it has to do with the their teams being up and LSU’s team being (relatively) down but there’s not really any comparison at the moment.

Everybody talking about keeping up with the Jones's but Baum stadium was built in 1996..a full 13 years before the Box.

It was fully renovated in 2006. 3 years before the box. And when it was done remained better than the box which was built in 2009.

Context matters.

It’s sort of incredible, we just did a piss poor job in the design and went cheap on the build

you mentioned those teams being up, but you saw those three host regionals all last weekend while we flew all the way to Oregon for ours

If we go to Omaha again the atmosphere will be great where it counts. If we don’t I’m sure the Tennessee fans will be happy

The Waltons own Arkansas. They love sports. When I was living in NW Arkansas the amount of money they threw around was insane. You should see the public schools, insanity, I thought one high school was a small, rich, private college until I got around to the front and saw it was a high school. The stadium and Gym were insane.

Bc they're the number one team in the nation and have been three straight seasons to Omaha and haven't won a natty in their history ever, so the excitement is as good as it will ever be there. Meanwhile, LSU has many nattys and been to Omaha many times but we aren't where we are used to being. The box will be back and better than ever soon. I know it.

The Box is an embarrassment. There is no excuse for the dump of a stadium we built here. It’s barely a decade old and already has fallen well behind the pack in the SEC

lol keep pushing that paid attendance number that we all know is bs. The Box is half full at best most weekends these days

Their architect took one look at our stadium and said hey, let’s not do that.

Original Baum was built in 1996 with a master plan in mind. The plan was never scrapped and continued over the years as planned. The future centerfield entrance and boxes that wrap around left field is all that’s left.
