I believe AB was modeled after Zephyr Field which was about 20 years old at the time.

People here worried about keeping up with Baum??
The Box can’t see Baum from where it is. There are at least 5-6 stadiums better in the SEC! Hell, there are 1-2 in the state of Louisiana that offer a way better fan experience.
I’ll never forget the first time I walked into the new Box the year it was built. I was pumped! Showed up early expecting a palace- a shrine to baseball. I walked in and went “is this it??”
Now I’ve had a chance to attend in a suite a few times and once in the club seats behind home plate. THAT is where all of the money and energy went. The rest of the stadium got a big F You. With that, you also priced a lot of people out, pushed due hardship further away from the field, and moved people from their seats.
Sorry. The Box just sucks

Just came here to say the ads at Alex box don’t really bother me that much. Feel like it gives the place some flavor.
Just came here to say that you're entitiled to your opinion, but your full of shitaki mushrooms.

Those ads plastered on every square inch of available space are public eyesores and totally destroys the aesthetics of LSU Athletic Venues.

Have one big digital advertising board and scroll em on and off all during pre-game and in-game breaks.

NO tacky static ads anywhere............

Oh I’m sure wal-mart, Tyson chicken, and JB hunt trucking helps.
But let’s not act like we don’t have money in Louisiana

I love to take the kids to Fayetteville for the football game. We've been 3 times in last 10 years. Their facilities are top notch. I always take the kids around their Track and Baseball Stadiums before we go to the Football game.

I know LSU has plenty donors and such. But we have nothing close to Wal-Mart Money. And they ain't ashamed to show it. I mean Wal-Mart Tyson and Hunt had a whole new airport built.

LSU and whoever designed the box blew it. Simple as that.
The guy that made the "Starkville is an old Indian word for Trailer Park" comment is primarily responsible for the new Alex Box aesthetic mess.......

The Box is an embarrassment. There is no excuse for the dump of a stadium we built here. It’s barely a decade old and already has fallen well behind the pack in the SEC

Wgaf? Quit crying like a pansy about a stadium. Grab a beer, sit in a seat and watch the game, Nancy. Holy shite!

Because LSU made the inexplicable decision to tear down one ballpark, only to build it's replica. I mean, I liked the old box, mainly because of the memories. But if you're going to build a new park, build a new park, not a copy. That's why it's an outdated model compared to Baum. It's still better than most of the league, though. Aside from concessions... And, of course, what we don't see in the clubhouse is far better than the old box, I'm sure.

The atmosphere will return when we start contending regularly again.

I don’t know why y’all are always trashing the Box… it’s a great ballpark both in person and on TV

Look at the shithole we’re playing in this weekend and the one in College Station

reminds me of the box in the 90s when our football teamed sucked too.

when your football team is shite, your baseball team picks up the pieces.

Off topic but my goodness Arkansas is a good team.

Avg batting
Strong power numbers
1 pitcher in Kopps. Commentators were laughing that he’s 12-0 with 11 saves and hasn’t started a game this year. He threw 190 pitches over 4 days in last week’s regional.

They won’t win in Omaha.

It's better than the box as far as fan experience and they are about to do a major upgrade that will pass box up in every other category

Tenn about to do major upgrade also if Vitello stays this offseason which is very likely

TDA isn’t a HR hitter friendly park. They made it a little better in recent years, though. Their current team BA is 2 points lower than LSU’s at .272, and we are consistently playing a guy with a sub .150 average.

And, yeah, not enough pitching, either.
