Just sent out via WWL Radio - they are taking a "pause" in 2021.

Also, this...

quote:

New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell has yet to approve any festivals for the fall. Her office has indicated that police staffing shortages could prevent such events. The Cantrell administration has also said that vaccination rates must continue to climb before they will approve festival permits.

Destroya now using "police shortages" as the next reason to keep the city down.

New Orleans, a city known for its food and its festivals can't find anyone to work in it's restaurants and can't find anybody to help secure it's festivals.

Sounds like a winning platform.

I'm sure Jefferson Parish could find some space to lay out for them.

You're forgetting, baw, that the moron running the joint wants NO to be the model of Work from Home going forward. Nevermind the fact that 90% of the city's economy is either service industry or industrial.

I will never miss a chance to bash Destorya, but the folks who run VooDoo are always a damn mess. I put most of the blame on them.

Nothing new here. NOPD can't even handle a saints game without Jefferson Parish bailing them out.

Look for more events to start happening out of the city. Hogs for the Cause was just held in Belle Chasse last weekend. Top Taco event is moving to Metairie this year.
I heard of another event moving as well, but can't think of the name of it at the moment.
