This doesnt really make sense because BUKU just announced their festival in October

Maybe they announced it before permit was approved.

Remember when Nyx did the same thing regarding their Summer Parade?

Dude....show me where VooDoo stated they are canceling because of police shortages

You're taking the opinion of Dave Cohen of WWL Radio from comments made at a press conference from 2 weeks ago and implying that is the reason VooDoo is taking a pause when they clearly never said anything about police shortages.

You're just a over dramatic little Karen.

I posted links and actually quotes from the City and Voodoo

All have posted is an statement that only WWL Radio is reporting.....

Show me where I directly stated that VooDoo was canceling because of police shortages.

Meanwhile, Seth, you are showing a strange hatred for your former employer... did you ever get paid on that lawsuit?

It’s amazing that she’s going to breeze through to a second term.

Isnt that what you implied by posting this?

Destroya now using "police shortages" as the next reason to keep the city down.

im not sure what Seth Dunlap has anything to do with this...you're embarrassing yourself by keep calling me that.

I have nothing against WWL Radio......but Dave Cohen was very irresponsible with this story and you fell for it....plain and simple.

In your own OP you implied that the reason VooDoo canceled was due to a police shortage. If you’re saying that’s isn’t what you were implying then why did you even mention it or try and make a connection?

Just admit you took the bait from WWL Radio. They tried to imply the same thing.

At least NOLA.com didn’t even mention a police shortage being the reason for the “pause”

I thought we could handle two things in one thread. Seems like everyone but you was able to do so!

Then you didn’t read your own thread. I’m not the only person to point it out. Karen

I’m quite sure the city will somehow be able to get by.

Mine alone? Correct. But if a lot of other people like me aren’t going to NOLA, that is a bit of a problem for a city which thrives on tourism.

Especially when they are cancelling Mardi Gras and a bunch of other events that bring in national and international tourism. That’s at the point where regional tourism should be propping you up.

I hate Latoya as much as anyone and using Police shortages is an excuse but Mitch created this problem.

Correct.
A hiring freeze for 2 years is just as bad as defunding the police. But as has been pointed out she knew about the problem before taking office and has done nothing. Let’s also not forget the impotent city council members that sit on their arses collecting paychecks as the city crumbles.
