Between white folks and covid, black people are in constant danger. Thank God they've got heroes like The Destroya to keep them safe

I mean just let NOLA crumble and move on. They elect these idiots and deserve to reap their rewards.

I'd agree, if it wasn't for our Governor and President then giving them more money to fix the problems created by this idiot. It's a vicious cycle. She chokes the city, then they give her more money and she does it again.

Politicians are idiots, people!

Then why did Buku get approved?

Because the promoters probably paid her enough.

Whatever. I'm just glad I got to see Guns N Roses again in 2019. Was awesome. Mumford and Sons in 2018 was fantastic too.

Probably a good idea, it will save a few people from getting shot and/or robbed.

New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell has yet to approve any festivals for the fall. Her office has indicated that police staffing shortages could prevent such events. The Cantrell administration has also said that vaccination rates must continue to climb before they will approve festival permits.

Such a terrible administration. It's like she's actively trying to make NOLA sink further into the abyss.

To the OP...why dont you read the article before posting false information like you always do

The festival's announcement about the cancellation, released via social media, did not give a reason. The statement read, "Voodoo Music + Arts Experience will take a pause in 2021 and will return to City Park for an epic Halloween experience in 2022. As our city reopens with an abundance of events to reconnect with, we look forward to holding our reunion when we can fully embrace the Voodoo Experience.

So no to defund the police?

Why not just man it with social workers?

I hate Latoya as much as anyone and using Police shortages is an excuse but Mitch created this problem.

No one is blaming police shortages as the excuse....the OP made that up.

but yes the current state of the police force and the lack of officers falls directly on Mitch's lap......he is directly responsible for that

This smells like Voodoo canceling for other reasons but being able to blame to the city, especially with Buku having just annouced.
