Efficiency at producing motion isn’t exactly high up on the demand/marketing pyramid of vehicles in the U. S.
You are completely changing the argument you made initially that I was specifically responding to:

Imagine how much natural gas and coal we are going to burn for all these fricking EV’s
Your initial argument was an attempt at a gotcha but it is based on a fallacy.
Demand and government social engineering are different discussions all together.

Assuming for a second that electrification of vehicles in the US is some kind of a liberal conspiracy theory to punish the O&G industry and Trump supporters,
Thats your assumption

That’s a comment on literally the first post you had in the thread

Will increased EV usage result in increased fossil fuel based electricity generation? Simple yes or no

I watched a YouTube video where Neal DeGrasse Tyson said the energy will come from another source. He seemed to indicate oil and natural gas would just go away. People believe that shite.
Eventually they will. It’s a cost issue right now for energy companies. It’s still cheaper to use oil and gas than other means of energy. When that day will come depends on the market and the government.

Can’t wait to roll coal on a Mustang E with my 6.6L Turbodiesel.

You have to own an electric vehicle for approximately 7 years before there’s any environmental difference.
How many people keep cars that long?

Mach E is not a mustang no matter what ford execs call it.

I grew up in a Ford family and currently have an old one now.
It will be my last. frick Ford

Great argument to exploit the uninformed and/or weak minded.
This argument totally avoids the fact the EV/US power grid is much more efficient at turning hydrocarbons into motion than ICE based vehicles. That is not even accounting for the 17% of the US power generated from renewable sources.
we’re going to run out of Lithium before any of this matters

Be that as it may, you sound like a simple bitch. I am drunk and would love to punch you in the face??
By th way I also have EE degree and you’re wrong, but more than that people like you are the current problem with this country. You think you know something. You don’t really know shite. Goodnight

I still love the meme that EVs are bad because they are not carbon neutral.
Who gives a shite. In 10-15 years EVs will start to really take off because they are simply straight up better than the gas alternative in virtually every facet. The average consumer doesn't give a frick how much better or not it is for the environment. EVs will just be the superior option in the (relatively) near future.

They can make as many electric vehicles as they want and the libs and media can talk them up, but that doesn't mean the public is on board with the idea...

You think wind power will make enough megawatts to charge our countries 300 million cars daily?

Aircraft, Boats, Trains, Tractors - better in EV models too? What method are we making all the power to charge these EV's? Where is the battery material coming from? Where are we disposing the spent material? Where is the copper for all the billions of motors to be made coming from? What will electric prices go up to?
What will we make plastic from? Styrofoam? Fertilizers? Asphalt? Propane? Hydrogen? Ammonia?

And you totally avoid the current infrastructure built around ICE vehicles

I drive a 2019 Mustang Bullitt and don’t think I’ll ever drive an EV unless forced due to gas not being available. I’m thinking of getting a Mach 1 and, if I do, it will be my last vehicle for a while. Just as someone else stated, no matter how Ford labels it, I’ll never consider the Mach E a true Mustang.

You left out some critical information....
quote:
The global computer-chip shortage hobbling the auto industry played a role in the Mach-E surpassing the traditional Mustang. Farley said the company is prioritizing its newest models, such as the Mach-E and the Bronco SUV, as its distributes its scarce supply of semiconductor modules. Ford’s Flat Rock factory built no gas Mustangs last month, according to the production data.

Chip shortage has forced Ford into rationing production of some models. So I wouldn’t judge relative popularity on 2021 sales.

I’ll be damned if I ever purchase a vehicle made in Mexico. What a hunk of shite.
