He seemed to indicate oil and natural gas would just go away. People believe that shite.

Have people even considered all the petroleum based products we use? Such as numerous chemicals, all plastics, tires, etc. Not to mention heavy duty trucks, 18 wheelers, construction and dirt moving equipment, tractors, diesel generators, etc etc. All of that isn’t going away. People don’t stop and think about that. They just think about their commute in the big city and plugging their Tesla in at the local charging station.

What will the rural farmers, miners, etc use if fossil fuels go away? Electric for one isn’t feasible for heavy duty use and many rural areas aren’t feasible to install charge stations. What about farmers needing to run combines day and night to beat out the rain in the middle of nowhere where there’s no electricity and don’t have time to drive back to a charging station and let it charge for 2 hours, if an electric combine is even a feasible thing to build because the amount of battery power to run that many parts for hours on end is astronomical.

Or what about the backup diesel generators that homes, hospitals, hotels, stores, nuclear power plants rely on when there is a hurricane or a tornado or any power outage? You know, the ones that keep people alive or nuclear plants from melting down?

Didn’t think of that did they

couldn't we just wind up our cars like a kids toy ? Hook a treadmill up to it or maybe like a Peleton and your work out winds up your car for the day.
easy peasy

Imagine how much natural gas and coal we are going to burn for all these fricking EV’s

Even if it was a one to one substitute……the energy generation is far more efficient in a big power plant, and the cars are more efficient as well. Especially if they have regenerative brakes

Not for me. By all means buy an electric car if that's what you want, I have no objection. However as for what I prefer for myself you can mind your own business, it's my decision, not yours

Not enough power on the grid for this shite, unless we turn all land into wind and solar Farms. CALIFORNIA IS ASKING RESIDENTS NOT TO CHARGE THEIR VEHICLES DUE ELECTRICITY SHORTAGES.

Need nuclear power plants to keep them batteries charged
