Tommy Vidrine has no patience for these idiots.

I appreciate that it pisses him off. Maybe it'll get someone's attention.

Senate wanted 1/4, house wouldn’t go for it.
Really a shame.
Apparently the senatorsPat Connick and Hosgens killed it. Bunch of bought and paid for asses.

Yes - Senators Hensgens and Connick were bought and paid for by the pogey industry. They have no regard for our coast or natural resources and need to be held accountable.

shite like this is why I could give a frick about the oystermen bitching about diversions. Commercials love not following simple rules and then throwing a total bitch fit if anything is made one iota harder for them.

Pat Connick is the biggest crook in a room full of them. Him being on the take from the Omega Protein slime is less of a surprise then if he wasn’t. When he’s not suing someone from his trial lawyer practice, he’s filing complaints against the Jefferson Parish landfill. The fact that his two brothers work for the competition is purely coincidence. He needs to DIAF.

The author of this bill didn’t like the amendments that were added and decided to take it to conference. It had already passed the house and senate. However, it was never heard due to priorities and time constraints so it died there. It’ll be back next year.

How long do you think it will take after this kind of legislation for us to start catching more and bigger trout and reds?

Sink the mfers. Even in Mississippi they require them to be a mile off Harrison and Hancock county and 1 mile off all the barrier Islands that aren’t private

The redfish ban was totally caused by omega protein boats btw. David Saucier is the CCA member that got the video of them purse seining redfish you see all the time when the ban is brought up.

As a side note, I was catching redfish decades ago off Ship Island basically with the Mississippi Charter fleet and this OMega pogey boat comes flying up and they charter boats cut his off, grabbed weapons and openly discussed ramming him.

They are the real reason fishing isn’t as good as it was 30-40 years ago.

And of course they show up as soon as the trout do. Very frustrating

The trout most likely showed up when the Pogeys did as it’s their food source.

It’s been discussed for a few years now and still keeps getting tabled due to pogey lobby.

Hopefully next year the author says frick it and goes for full 1 mile barrier.

Pogey boat running along the beach front on the live cam. Cant be more than 150ft from the shoreline. Someone should play videos of these instances on the house floor anytime those legislators defend this practice

You need to follow them around with boats and drones, they do a lot of sketchy shite, kill a lot of dolphin and turtles, and have strong connections to the mob

Sounds like I don't want to do any of those things then.

They need to go for the jugular and ban the practice in Louisiana waters. Why are we sacrificing our resources so Canadians have some fish meal to feed their salmon farming industry???
