Someone told me a few weeks ago that the burger served by the deli when the store was owned by Calandros was one of the best in the city. Does anyone know if Oak Point continue to serve it?

Smart Thermostat Recommendation
Posted by lipripper32413 on 11/5/24 at 2:52 pm
I currently have a nest 3rd gen thermostat with 3 temperature sensors. I find that the sensors are not accurate and the system will run for wayyy too long once the system reaches temp, often a degree or two cooler than it is set at. Not a problem when we are home, but when we are not I often feel like if we had something more accurate the unit would not run so hard. Open to trying the newer gen nest if anyone seems to think they have made an improvement. Thanks!

MyQ liftmaster internet gateway router compatibility
Posted by lipripper32413 on 8/8/23 at 9:16 am
I recently bought a house and the previous owner left us the internet gateway enabling the liftmaster garage door opener. Only problem is that our AT&T fiber router is not compatible with the internet gateway. I was looking at a mesh system anyway so I am looking for some recommendations on a mesh system that is compatible. TIA

Really cool course, one of my favorites. I played it early Saturday morning of memorial day weekend last year and it wasn't crowded. Hell most of the time it felt like we were out there by ourselves due to the layout.

I played origins in November, not sure if it has changed since then but it wasn't private when I played. I played the 6 hole one day and liked it so much I came back to play the 10 hole par 3 the next day. A lot of fun and pretty affordable.

Little bit of a sidetrack here, but does anyone know where to get some good bone in short ribs in NOLA?

re: At what value do you drop the voluntary insurance on your car?

You need to evaluate your personal liability before you do anything. Basically, if you are in an at fault accident, what are you worried about Gordon coming after? House, camp, other vehicles, etc...
In your case, nothing wrong with carrying just the liability coverages, but you need to make sure the limit you do carry can cover your arse in a bind

re: Protein powder question

Dumb question. But if you are cutting weight, why do you need to add more protein? Does that help you eat less?
It's less about adding protein to my diet, more about having a quick (often on the go) breakfast option that's not unhealthy. I really started ramping up the intensity of my workouts about a month and a half ago with a long term goal of losing weight. I've seen some decent results in that time. I'm not scared of building muscle, but it will be hard with the amount of cardio at OTF.
Protein powder question
Posted by lipripper32413 on 5/24/21 at 2:36 pm
Need a little advice, i'm looking for a post workout protein powder just to make my breakfast process a little quicker. I'm 5'10 230 and I am doing orange theory 4-5 days a week. Ultimate goal is to lose weight, but i'm not looking for some miracle snake oil bs. Any suggestions welcome, TIA.

I'm not necessarily concerned about it being covered under warranty, this was 100% negligence on my part. The comment about them not having the repair parts is concerning. Really didn't want to spend the money for a new pair.

I cracked a lens and was wondering if anyone knew what their turnaround time has been lately? Also, this is going to be out of warranty, does anyone know the cost to replace one lens?
