What’s the OB’s thoughts/experiences?

Open to other choices as well. Not really concerned about price.

I have an XD Mod 2, but it’s a tad too big

Capacity is king. Hellcat for me.

I love my Hellcat. Bought two for different carry configurations. At their price point, why not?

I have both of these. No experience with the Hellcat but if capacity is an issue, I'd look harder at it.

Between the 938 and the Micro 9 I'd go with the 938. The Kimber Micro 9 is a great gun but the trigger on it from the factory is atrocious. Mine had a 5-pull average pull weight of 7.5lbs. I installed a new trigger that got it down to 3.5lbs and it turned out to be a great gun. The 938 is just a perfect gun right out the box.

I like the S&W M&P Shield. They just just came out with the Shield Plus that has a 13+1 capacity.

I also like the Sig P365 or the P365XL.

I didn’t really care for the Hellcat, but several people have told me how much they like it.

Best thing to do is get your list and go to a range that lets you test them all for a flat fee.

Gotta shoot em, baw. what we like doesn't matter. I didn't like the hellcat when I shot it, another poster above me said he loves it.

and put the p365 on your guns to try list like a normal baw in 2021

Two SAO vs. a striker fired? Pick the type action you want. I would go with a Glock, Sig, or Walther single stack striker fired. Probably Sig P365. I would not want a SAO for concealed but i used to carry a Sig P238 and still pissed i sold it. Really sweet little pistol, and I could still get good groups with it.

I wanted to try a Hellcat to maybe replace my Shield but with the Shield Plus out now I'm thinking I'll stay with that platform. I've enjoyed it, no issues, shoots relatively accurate considering it's size, I just always wanted more capacity.

Of the guns you've mentioned, the only one I have is the Kimber Micro 9. It's been my main cc gun when I'm not at work. Obviously, I like it. I've not had any problems w/ the gun itself. It's my second most accurate gun. It handles all ammo well, both cheap and expensive. At first I was disappointed w/ the 10# trigger, I was pleased when it pretty quickly dropped to 7.5#, the factory spec. I don't want a really light trigger on a cc gun. The P938 and Micro 9 are basically the same gun, just different manufacturers. While the P938 and Micro 9 are both SAO guns, the Hellcat is a striker fired, different platforms. If I were you, I'd first decide which platform you want, SAO or striker. I carry my Micro 9 w/ a 7 round mag in it and have a back up 8 round mag in my left front pocket. Yeah, neither gun hav as many rounds as the Hellcat, but I'm ok w/ a 7 or 8 round mag.

Depending on what I’m wearing I carry a S&W shield or a RMR’d CZ P-07. 90% of the time both are carried appendix

I carry a g26.

Not saying it's the best, although I don't have a problem with it, but still manageable if you are considering a double stack.

Ruger Max 9. Less than 1" thick, but has a 12 round mag.
