I couldn't care less what your political views are as long as you don't let it get in the way of your ability to put together a good story or make it so vocal and out in the open that it's impossible to see anything you've worked on without thinking about your activism.

Filoni, more than his partner in crime Favreau, seems like the sort of guy that would go all in on an attempt to save the Sequels. A lot of folks on here might not care for him being a liberal, but he is supposed to be a legendarily kind person in a business that is not often noted for the nice guy finishing first. Given that and his personal loyalty to George Lucas he'd probably crawl through broken glass to "save" the Star Wars Sequels.
I don’t see it. He’s a true storyteller at heart and the sequels are devoid of story and character development. I don’t think Disney will risk actually tying any of that bullshite to his projects.

Is this set after Order 66? Has to be, right?
Order 66 occurs during the episode.

So what’s the deal with Omega? Just a mutation to get a female or was there some additional frickery going on?
Well, they took a rib from one of the clones, and the rest is history.

Man what if this is Filoni trying to retcon why Rey is such a crazy Mary Sue by saying 'oh, look. the Kaminoans made a female Palpatine and they programmed her like the Bad Batch to be able to pick up those things quickly and she's Rey's mom'.
Let’s be honest here. With The Mandalorian and the other spin off shows, we are getting a redoing of everything in the post Battle of Endor era even if The HoM doesn’t do the whole press conference announcing it. The sequel trilogy was a failure. The Mouse buries it failures like no other. You ever heard of Mars Needs Moms? What about the water park that closed in 2001? The Lone Ranger?

Yeah. Mainly because I thought it had a stupid title. They certainly didn’t bury it, it was just another forgettable March movie release. They have quite a few of those.

I’d be down with a sexy female Bobba. Love me some Frankie Adams. Fine as hell and a believable badass
Have Adams dye her hair blonde and play the role in The Mandalorian (about 20-25 years later in the timeline) = WINNING. She wouldn't even have to lose her accent.

If I was 12 I’d love this shite
Ya know, Rebels started off very kid-friendly, way more so than this show, and finished with a bang for adult, die-hard, Star Wars fans.

Lol yes they have. How much merch do you see from that movie? How often do they re air it? It’s never promoted on Disney+. They buried it because it’s a huge failure. The mouse did to it what they do to all of their failures: ignore that it ever existed in the first place.

I don’t have any substance to add to this thread other than I have to do a double take every time I see the name in a commercial because it looks like it says Bad Bitch

The movie never really had merch. The Lone Ranger was about as similar to the Prince of Persia. Some figures and a coulple of Lego sets.
Burying is what they are doing to Song of the South.

Really enjoyed the episode more than I thought I would.
I didn’t watch any trailers so I just assumed it was going to be weeks of beating up 200 droids per episode and it end with Order 66. I didn’t realize it would start with Order 66 and we’ll see them try to traverse being out on their own as clones that didn’t follow the order. I find this storyline to be very intriguing.
It was referenced in this thread but I enjoyed it showing that Order 66 did far more than just turn the clones against the Jedi. It outright turned them into different people who are far more ruthless killing machines.
Also, the animation looks great.

Kind of sucks that Crosshair turned against them. Any chance they take his chip out and he rejoins them at some point?
I think they may be able. I assume at some point they meet up with Rex who trained them and he can tell them he and the others did it.

Do y’all want to just have this be the season long thread or do individual episodes?
I can update the OP with a note on when spoilers/discussion begin for each new episode.

New episode has dropped today, btw.

Ep 1 was better than I was expecting. The writers do such a great job of writing a story appropriate for kids but satisfying for adults.

quote:I thought so too, at first. But remember, the Kaminoans are up to something. They aided the team's escape.quote:I assumed them messing with his brain pretty much eliminated any hesitance he might have had attacking his brothers
I think crosshair still has hope.
He doesn't miss, and he missed a few times in that last scene.
So maybe he was sort of pulling his punches.
They are also the ones that "messed with his brain". If you view both of those actions as coordinated by the same planner, you can easily come to the conclusion they did something other than ramp up his compliance. They might have deleted that, could even have programmed something else in there.
Let's look at this from a realistic POV... he's an advanced sniper, with his own gun. He has a thermal scope, already sighted in; he can shoot a knife in mid-throw. Not just hit it, he hits it just right to zap it into the droid a few minutes earlier during the training session.
He's got a clean line of sight on several targets, in a climate-controlled hanger not larger than a couple hundred meters at most (looks smaller range, but assuming it's intended to house several shuttles at the same time). Maybe 150 meters.
Those aren't hard shots, for someone decent with a scope. To a trained sniper it's child's play.
And yet, he only makes 1 hit- on the big guy, in a spot that just knocks him down but doesn't injure him.
-Now, THAT'S a shot that takes some skill to pull off.
quote:Meh, the villain is ready-made: it's Tarkin and the Empire, with their compliant stormtroopers. You might get a lot of interesting stories with him perceived as turned, and trusted by the Imperials, while on the inside. He'd now be completely on his own.
But it makes sense for him to be a villain for a little while until they find someone else to fill the villain role. He's intimidating and cunning and knows them just enough for it to be an emotional crux for the show but also provide a viable threat

I enjoyed the second episode as well. I wish they would drop the whole season. I hate this waiting. Lol

Is episode 2 normal length (23-24 minutes) or is it extended?
Posted on 5/7/21 at 2:17 pm to ProjectP2294
Less than 30 minutes
