China is not strategically prepared for an invasion.
Before an invasion to be launched. Satellites would observe troop movements and assembly. China lacks in air superiority. There is no stealth technology on anything China has. Taiwan's defense has been built around missile offense and defense systems......the Chinese loses will be massive. China must depend on the US sitting this out ....Should we chose not to sit this out ....China must then prepare for a probable nuclear exchange ..... So let's see ...lose your entire economic system in a war against your biggest customer or wait until your technology capability catches up in 2035 ....I think China waits ...

I think China will remove Hong Kong's SAR status. I believe they will try and redo Japan's WW2 strategy and create something similar to the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere

It was on a business trip to Taiwan in 2002 that I realized our media was 100% compromised. The Taiwanese media reporting on world events and even their own election that was happening at the time was 180 degrees from the drivel the MSM was feeding us.
The people in Taiwan are incredible and won't take this sitting down. We've sold them a frick ton of military hardware over the last few decades and they won't hesitate to use it.

Certainly none of the new global govt movers would lead that charge.
Only the USA with a determined leader with an "America First" instinct could offer any disincentive to China from doing this.

I just told you. Taiwan would stop them. China will have the ability to take Taiwan via an amphibious invasion by the end of the decade but as of today they cannot.

There seems to be a thought that chinas leadership would be worried about heavy losses, or the “cost” involved. Sorry I don’t see it. Xi could care less about the cost, his main concern has got to be timing. And when would he get a better time?
