Garage Sale finds 5/1 - the student becomes the teacher (and follow ups from last week)

There were a lot of garage sales today, but the finds were not that good. My daughter (no pics u sick fricks), found the two best finds (maybe). She’s been garage selling with me since she was 4. She had a great eye on certain items (hip stuff, jewelry, etc)
Her finds:
For $5, two giant boxes of solar nodders (this is only 1/2 of them)
For $2, a Chanel ring (verified real)
She found one ring that sold like hers, it went for $350. There’s none on eBay. The nodders sell for $3-$5 each (a few are in $20 range). She will do quite well
My finds:
A bunch of PS, PS2, Sega Genesis, & Xbox 360 games for $1 each (or less). Plus a Sega Genesis console in the box and a SNES (both not pictured). I paid $55 for the 2 ($50 & $5)
For $20 DSi with Super Mario Bros
$4 wrasslin figures (I have no idea who these people are besides Cena
And probably my Best Buy today, for $50, a brand new Weber Smokey Joe NFL Edition Oilers (1995). There is only one on eBay (not the Oilers), they asking $275. This thing is brand new, only the box has wear. Some of the older non-NFL Smokey Joe’s bring decent money.
Sorry, hit submit accidentally.
Follow ups.
Last week, I bought a hung box of Army unit insignias, that was in a bigger lot of military stuff. I paid $200 for the entire lot. I have sold quite a bit of the stuff already, including the challenge coins for $200+, and the silver coins for $200. The box of insignias, I nearly passed on. It’s up to $610

Brodus Clay, Cena, Sheamus, AJ Lee, Randy Orton, CM Punk, and I'm guessing the smaller one is the undertaker.

That Terrell Owens ESPN video game was tight.

That nfl 2k5 is probably pretty valuable.

I passed on a bunch of video games this weekend because I don't know what I am buying. Let one I bought was Trekken or something like that at an estate sale because I had time to look it up (in a back room lol).
I found this yesterday for $2. This is an ebay picture not mine.
Also found a cool vintage girl scout cookbook of campout recipes that I am giving to my niece.
I would have thought that ring was fake. It doesn't look quality from the picture.

FWIW, that NCAA 2003 is the GOAT before they fricked up the franchise.

If there's that much demand for that crap I need to clean out the storage rooms of my unit...
In terms of old militaria, I need to find someone in this state that knows this stuff better than I do because I have a lot of it. I'm just glad I have it and it wasn't dumped into a garage sale.

Curious. What did you find out about the mechanical bank from earlier in the week? And was it all metal?

I checked this on Facebook. Knew you were going to do well. Think you will eventually clear $750, possibly $850. Nothing special to the lot overall, just a bulk buy that a collector or Army-Navy store will be able to piece out. Congrats baw.
ETA: I meant eBay

Did you ever get that XBox working?

We had our neighborhood garage sale today in Ponchatoula and it was nothing but baby clothes and kids selling lemonade.

Just wanted to say I really enjoy your posts.
I collect action figures and Funkos and there is an app now that lets you see what things are worth and the prices fluctuate with the market. Its called HobbyDB and has a ton of stuff.
That Undertaker is about $6.
That Brodus Clay may be the first one ever made of him in the Mattel series (First In Line) so you looking at maybe $20-$40 for him.
That AJ Lee looks like it’s the Mattel series #42, worth around $50-$70.

Whta kind of resale value are you expecting on the video games? I can understand there being a market for super old original nintendo games still in the box but I mean who is buying a used copy of madden 2002 for ps2?

Thaw threads are always so interesting. I often wonder if I should consider doing something like this, but then I would probably wind up with a garage full of useless shite.
