I don’t see a positive way forward to avoid either. Supply chains are collapsing, manufacturing output can’t keep up due to lack of labor and lack of raw materials, Govt is printing money and handing it to the working class that normally would work these jobs supplying materials and making goods. Businesses are struggling, they have nothing to sell, they can’t make much, service quality is down due to labor shortage. Shutdowns already squeezed them.

It’s a recipe for mass amounts of business bankruptcy, bank failures, rapid inflation, and major supply shortages of basic goods.

Middle class and small businesses are about to completely get bent over and probably disappear I’m afraid. It will be the uber wealthy controlling the mega corporations while regular people fight for jobs for those corporations and everyone else gets welfare

This is going to be 10x worse than the one the media tried to artificially create in the summer of 2019

economic collapse

I really hope it is sudden and incredibly painful... this country deserves it... it is also the only way that things will correct themselves...

This administration is, single handedly and in 100 days, ruining the greatest economy in my lifetime!

Law and order is collapsing, and the financial business world is next....if it weren't for TRUMP policies, we would be down the tubes already.

Beyond inflation there will also be US companies moving out of the U.S. to avoid the increase in corporate taxes. One of my best stocks has been Medtronics. They left the US and went to Ireland in the final year of Obama expecting more corporate taxes from the coming Hillary win.
I had to pay the tax bill of selling the stock even though I did not sell any of it. It just changed locations.

Some dumbass tried to convince me that every other country's economy is going to suck it up too so we'll still be number one. This is why you should never use a liberal investment advisor.

It’ll make 2008 look like the boom we had under Trump.

It's going to be really bad. All of my suppliers have already alerted me to price increases and the cost of freight right now is through the roof. I'm going to have to raise my prices too as a result.

don't forget the outrageous real estate bubble

I'm looking at apts in New Orleans since I'm interviewing for a job down in the CBD and the rents are outrageous. To get a home equivalent to what I own in BR within a similar distance from work would cost at least 3 times what I paid less than a year ago.

I'm out of work, my unemployment still hasn't been approved (applied over a month ago), I won't be able to keep paying the mortgage for much longer, but I might not be able to afford to move without major lifestyle sacrifices even if I'm offered a significantly higher paying job than what I had before. It's absurd.

I have been waiting for a part from Italy for my hay mower since last July when it broke. Last I heard it was on its way on a container ship. I lost thousands in hay sales last summer.

While we are definitely screwed long term I am personally doubtful we see anything bad in the short term. Biden will benefit from an amazingly rigged economic situation as we rebound from an artificial downturn. But that will only go on for so long, and tailwinds will evolve into headwinds over the next year or so. I'd be curious to see what happens if/when the Fed ends up nudging rates back up. Hopefully the correction/cooling off happens prior to the 2024 election and either Cackle or the moron geriatric has to run in that situation against DeSantis.

Greatest stock market and economic surge in world history. Just look at stocks, and crypto, massive housing price increases and historic home building. Jobs everywhere. Minimum wage and salaries going higher and higher.
Stop the fear porn and just buy stocks, real estate and crypto.

Probably not that bad. Inflation certainly won't be worse than it was in the late 70s/early 80s.

Eh. Supply chains have been impacted by the virus. That's going to go away.

I just got back from the grocery store, most things that I always buy were up about 10% from a few days ago.
