Horror as Buddhist monk chops off head with guillotine for 'good luck' in afterlife

Daily Star

quote:

Despite some followers praising Thammakorn, the National Office of Buddhism asked the local government to help them explain to residents in the area that such practice was not being encouraged in the religion.

Translation: “This is a real stupid fricking idea.”

Self-immolation would have made an even bigger impact. He'd eventually be on album covers and such.

Is there anyway we’ll be able to tell if it worked? Perhaps a psychotropic or some type of hardcore meditation that transports us to other realities like in The Man in the High Castle.

You know, a guillotine is really not a bad way to go. If a man had had enough...I can see this as a decent option. I imagine it's like turning the switch off instantly. Just make sure you got a sharp blade and a heavy weight.

“The police took the body from the temple to the hospital so medics could perform a post-mortem examination and ascertain the cause of death before returning it to the family for funeral rites.“

So they had to investigate the cause of death. Seems like the could have used their head to figure it out
