Why? Dietary changes?

Pretty much. The speculation rests on a decrease in food quality through domestication, as well as a decrease in nutritional variety.

From your Gadsden Times link on other southeastern skeleton remains -
quote:

The skeleton appeared to be that of a giant. Henry could easily place his head in its skull, and the bone was a half-inch thick. The thigh bone was almost 22 inches in length, and the bone from the shoulder to the elbow measured 20 inches. When all the bones were placed in their proper positions, they showed the owner must have been close to 12 feet tall from the top

I wonder if some native had a pituitary gland disorder and grew to a crazy height and they worshipped him/her as a god.

Ft Morgan is full of Indian arrows and pottery on the Bay side and The Lagoon. The last two Hurricanes uncovered tons. A friend of mine who’s a local geologist discovered an Indian trade canal dug from the Bay to the lagoon. Like stated above the Indian down here were fish fishers and also ate tons of oysters. They have oyster mounds in the Peninsula that have been dated back the 1500s.

The bible mentions giants that came from the sky in Genesis. I think there is a possibility that these are aliens.

There are literally hundreds if not thousands of newspaper articles from the 19th century and early 20th century of giant bones being found in mounds all over the US. Unless, every single instance was a lie, there were some giants here at some point.

There are some historical accounts too. I believe it was the DeSoto exposition that ran into a few Indians, chiefs in what are now Alabama and Arkansas, that were at least seven and a half feet tall and of gigantic stature.

I read a book about a spanish man whose ship bounced around what now is Florida and ended up just west of the Mississippi. I think they began with 300? mean and 2 survived (separately). He noted the large Indians in Floria and said their arrows could go a man's hand width into an oak tree. He ship and rafts were wrecked, and all provisions lost. The Indians that caught and enslaved him in south Texas were always on a starvation diet and on borderline existence. He eventually got reunited with another survivor and made it to Mexico area.

Cabeza de Vaca, who was part of the Narvaez expedition, which came before De Soto. His is an incredible story. He was made a slave by the Indians who rescued him and four other survivers after a hurricane cast them ashore near Galveston. He later became a medicine man or healer and moved from tribe to tribe until he he made it to Mexico and came across some Spanish slavers.

There were Indians in BSL 8000 years ago, or so I’ve been told by ground penetrating radar operators who discover shell deposits.

You ever check out the Indian mounds off Milano bayou? Jackson landing area by port bienville. Pretty cool but have to get to them by boat. The biggest is about400 yards long

They go way back and may be tied to poverty point

Plus the history of Jackson plantation and Claiborne plantation that they are on is a bonus historical find of you’re out that way

Neat. I've always wanted to know more about the north American mound builders

You're in luck. Our very own state has a state of the art field where mounds used to be. You can spend all day walking in tall grass and dodging ant beds and then cool off in the wasp invested museum to view a collection of rocks. After that don't forget to check out the world renowned strip club in mound.

Apparently the Smithsonian Institute has been accused of covering up the race of giants who lived here a long time ago.

Is the Smithsonian suppressing evidence of giants?

No, I’ve never been up the River that far. I love Ansley and La France’s boat launch...it’s beautiful over there. We fish that RR bridge and by that old mansion with the exposed swimming pool. Redfish bayou...had a baby tarpon shake my hook there one day. That’s probably the coolest thing that happened to me fishing before. That little fricker did not want to be hooked.
