I’ll second that along with O”Reilly’s Killing Crazy Horse which covers all the well known chiefs and time periods. Custer, Grant, Comanche, etc....

Can anyone recommend a good book on the eastern native American tribes? Most books I see are on the plains and western tribes. I’ve always been fascinated with the stories of William Weatherford (Red Eagle), Tecumseh and Sequoyah. I read that Sequoyah’s Cherokee alphabet and written language was so successful that for a time, the literacy rate among Cherokees was higher than the Americans.

So, most people here believe in 8 foot tall Indians?

Where are these 8 foot tall skeletons now?

The 2nd largest mound complex in the US is just North of Natchez and is pretty interesting to see.

That would be a sweet life. I wanna be a god. I’d sit back and make people do ridiculous shite all day just for my amusement.

So can we assume that the age of dinosaurs and extremely large humans could have been a result of an atmosphere richer in oxygen and other nutrients. We tend to think of modern times having the most abundant food supplies but if these XL sized organisms were themselves the food chain you'd have to think there would be plenty of protein to support that kind of growth of individuals.

The Smithsonian is keeping them hidden, because they don't want people to know the truth.

Next to the thousands of monkey men skeletons that don’t exist? Seriously, we have thousands of skeletons of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals, but only a couple of deformed monkey skulls and we state human evolution as fact. Animals evolve due to preferential breeding and survival of the fittest, not because an animal willed itself ears, lungs or legs. I don’t believe those major shifts occurred as evolution. Where is all the proof that humans evolved from animals? We supposedly have more bodies of aliens than skeletal remains of evolutionary man. (at least according to those alien shows on television)

Do you think the evidence for evolution relies strictly on skeletons?

Is this what you think evolution is?

there are tribes in Africa where it is common to have 7 foot plus individuals
like a lot of native indigenous people a generic rarity in the world population can be fairly common in a tribal population

How about a continent that had more equines than any other by far, yet the idea of riding them to use never crossed anyone's mind.

That’s bc people came and ruined their ‘modern’ civilizations

Well it certainly doesn’t help the evolution case when there are no skeletons. If we have skeletal remains (and lots of them) of animals that lived long before man, shouldn’t we occasionally run across the complete skeleton of evolutionary man? Yes evolution of species exist to some degree, but not the way it is portrayed. Show me all the skeletons, hell, show me one complete skeleton. I can see a complete skeleton of a dinosaur.

There is no place in the world where it is common to have someone 7’ tall.

The theory is the large skeletons are hidden to eliminate further proof of the accuracy of bible.

Well there are skeletal remains. But fossilized skeletal remains are fairly rare overall. The portion of skeletal remains we do have from plants, animals, and human ancestors doesn’t even represent 0.001% of the diversity of life on this planet.

Again we do have skeletal remains of human ancestors. I believe the oldest, most complete specimen we have is an Australopithecus from 3.5 million years ago. But the terms you are using are imprecise. We have plenty of fossil evidence of Homo Sapien Sapiens and the collection from the Neolithic era is fairly robust. Is there a particular specimen that you want to focus on?

Regardless, the evidence for human evolution isn’t based on fossil evidence, as the genetic evidence is extremely strong and supersedes it in pretty much all respects.
