Because men aren't nagging harpies who add additional stresses on top of the normal stresses in life.
Watched my dad get worn down by my mom's nonstop bitching and complaining over 50 years of marriage.
He was in far better physical shape than my mom but he suffered two strokes.

Men have to deal with their wife and her entire family.
Women deal with their husbands and maybe their mother in law and father in law and most times the mans family is more tolerate of who they marry versus the women’s family

I'd imagine it's because men usually have riskier professions.
Welders, electricians, crane operators, millwrights, etc. are all genuinely dangerous professions.
Also, I've seen men do some truly stupid shite all while ignoring safety protocol because they want to think their nuts drag.

Men generally do far more dangerous jobs than women...military, construction, etc...then in private life we do riskier things.

For millennia, women faced child birthing and many, many died giving birth. Even the weakening of their bodies from child birth may have lead to their earlier deaths.
At a cemetery up in Powell Valley Tennessee, there's a tombstone of a man who lived a long live, beside his tombstone are smaller tombstones from different stones of his six wives.
It may be that childbirth acted as a sieve to remove some health weaknesses from the women's gene pools.
I'd even suggest that wars used to weed out stupid men and the smarter, faster ones would survive. (Until gunpowder and munitions changed things.)
