re: Glenn Greenwald held at gunpoint and tied up at own house, house ransacked - audodger
If y'all would actually read the article, Glenn posts a link to the Asian family's story and then goes on to describe his own experience that was similar. He spells this out in the article, but I can see how it is confusing for anyone who wants to click on the article and reach conclusions without a...

re: TD Valheim Server? - audodger
I picked this up earlier this week, and I'm hooked. They definitely caught the magic of some old school games where you feel real danger, and the progression system is close to perfect. I'm playing solo, and I know it sounds ridiculous, but I've had more heart-pounding moments playing this than anyt...

re: Horizon Zero Dawn available today on Steam - audodger
That's a good point, but the combat is so good that I don't mind too much. To me, the exact opposite of this is The Witcher 3. Fantastic story for a lot of the side quests, but the combat gets boring quickly. Both amazing games in my book, but I prefer HZD. ...

re: Horizon Zero Dawn available today on Steam - audodger
I'm finally playing HZD for the first time, and I think it's in contention for being a top 10 game of all-time. There's not much that's revolutionary about it (combat probably comes closest), but it stands on the shoulders of everything else and is just so incredibly polished. The story, the charact...

re: Thinking of pulling the trigger on a prebuilt PC - audodger
If anyone else is thinking about buying from ibuypower, so far so good. The PC was delivered today. It ended up getting delivered in almost exactly one month from when I ordered it which was much faster than I was expecting, especially considering the graphics card and processor are both scarce. I'm...
To improve. Solve a few riddles every day and analyze all of your games via the game report if you are using Chess.com. It will show you the best move and rate your moves... good, excellent, mistake, blunder etc. In addition to that watch some youtube videos and that are all over the in...

re: Favorite Chess openings? - audodger
I favor the Italian and sometimes mix it up with the Ruy Lopez. As black, I was frequently getting the opportunity to play the Traxler Counter Attack whenever my opponent went for the Fried Liver Attack, although, recently it seems I've stopped playing opponents that bite as my rating has climbed a ...

re: What was your favorite Slay the Spire deck? - audodger
Silent with noxious fumes, backflips, footwork, and blurs is my favorite build. You can get by without blurs if you find the relic that allows you to only lose 15 block instead of all before your next turn. Remove as many strikes as you can. You just have to be really careful against the time eater,...

re: New build suggestions - audodger
FWIW, after a little bit of research, I recently ordered a build with a 3070 and 5600x. It was about $1300. I've watched youtube videos showing performance on a lot of games with that combo and have been impressed, but I'll probably be waiting a little while to receive the PC so can't speak with fir...

re: Most absorbing Switch game for a long flight? - audodger
Slay the Spire - basically a deck-building roguelike, but it's much better than it sounds. A bit hard to wrap your head around some of the systems at first, but it's insanely addictive.
One of my favorite games of all time. I think I have two or three hundred hours on it....
