re: The Location of the Shooter of the 1st shot can be inarguably found
Posted by RustedToyota on 7/26/24 at 7:45 pm
Couldn’t the FBI test for gun shot residue at the windows? I guess it’s too late to test the washed roof. AR style rifles also expel gasses out of the ejection port so would there be GSR in the room?...
re: How Many Shots by Counter Snipers?

Any bullets recovered from the counter snipers shots? Where did the miss go? How about the head shot bullet, I don’t think it stopped there. ...

Interesting video; did you notice that the bullet started to yaw after contact with the ear. Once the spin of the bullet is upset the next impact of the bullet will be devastating.
If crooks was using a red dot the dot size would be a factor in the sight picture, anything larger than a 2moa dot i...

re: 22LR shot shells

CMMG .22 conversion doesn’t use the gas system for operation, it is a blowback system like a 10/22 or Marlin 60. Remington 552 Speedmaster which fires shorts, longs and long rifle will cycle rat shot reliably but the limiting factor can be the plastic capsule for the shot. If you put too many in the...

re: So, I decided to order one of the Garands from Royal Tiger Imports

What is now CMP was the DCM program(Director of Civilian Marksmanship). My father and I each got a Garand in the early 80s for around $125 each plus misc charges after all the paperwork and jumping thru hoops. Mailed to the Post Office from Anniston. H&R and a SA both beautiful rifles. No internet b...

Nice looking rifle with the been there look. Checked out the RTI prices on M1 carbines-ouch! The Garand prices varied a lot. Search for these on Gunbroker and compare. Some are fixed price and others are auction. Just another option.
Just a note: Ammo for Garands has a certain pressure curve. ...

Search the model on Gunbroker, not the asking price but what they actually sell for. That’s a real number on the market....
re: Purchased a M&P 15-22LR
Posted by RustedToyota on 10/30/23 at 11:01 am
My experience with the CMMG .22 BCG was OK but far from great. The 5.56 twist rate and bore size are not for .22LR. Accuracy suffers and light firing pin strikes because the BCG moves forward on hammer strike. Built a dedicated upper with CMMG .22 barrel and BCG. Found a spacer on line that fits in ...

You may die trying to defend your home or your neighborhood but if you take some of them first it will buy time for others to respond to the threat. If you make it to the first mag change you’re winning.
You didn’t say it in words and still said it anyway....

On very late model Tundras with Adaptive Cruise Control it can change what the sensors see; you could have cruise problems. The Toyota dealer can't fix it after lift kit. Call the Toyota dealer for more info....
