it transcends every single AD and coach. the institution at a whole is pathetic when it comes to PR and handling any situation in the media. I'm not sure why we can't get our shite together on this.

IIRC, didn’t Saban require his players to go to DC and meet with Trump? As in, the petulant children weren’t given an option. Where was the outrage for that?

Both Saban and Orgeron are Democrats, but I see nothing wrong with them supporting a sitting President as it relates to team operations.

It’s not like Saban or Orgeron gave speeches at a Trump rally.

I second what others have said, either football programs remain COMPLETELY apolitical, or players and coaches are allowed to be political either way without and retribution.

he was out of touch, but we have an incompetent retard as an AD if he can't figure out a better answer to a question than what he gave. it fricking happened last summer, anyone with a lick of business sense would have steamrolled that journalist for asking that.

instead we have SJW scotty gladly opening up and giving a stupid answer

He isn't wrong on O bringing up politics even though honestly it was clear he was supporting trump opening up football not trump overall. However, you have to say you can't speak out on JBE or any liberal piece but we all know that standard won't be held.

Why did SJW scotty even bring this up? its fricking long gone and dead, no one is talking about it and he goes out and steps on his dick like this.

That is a Joe Alleva level frick up

Exactly.

Supporting the President of the United States of America for something actually football related should be acceptable by anyone who enjoys football. It was never political. Did Woodward also single out Coach O for commending JBE?

I can't stand Alleva, but Woodward is now losing my support.

I'm so sick of this world we live in. A world that you can't even give the President a compliment for doing something positive. Enough is enough.

Want to talk about unity? How about being okay to call things like you see it. If it's beneficial for your school, team, players, and coaches.. then it's a positive for all involved. How about stop seeing a divide for supporting whatever benefits your people.

If a politician that I can't stand did something positive for something I enjoy, then I can accept a coach commending them for it. It's ridiculous how we can't even give a simple opinion without extreme generalizations. This is not how you ever unite. Then again, we never will. And it will never be balanced.

Why do I feel like if he had never said anything about Trump, but he commended Biden for doing something he felt was positive, that we would never hear anything about it?

He didn't bring it up.
Doesn't mean his answer wasn't dumb. All he had to say was he's discussed it privately with Orgeron. No need to open up the political can of worms at all. The sad thing is that Woodward either anticipated being asked such a question and that was the best answer he could come up with, or he didn't have the foresight to expect he would. Not a good look.

when Orgeron said “I love President Trump … I think he’s doing a fantastic job.” Woodward said Orgeron’s words were a mistake and that he had informed his football coach as much.
It was a mistake for Coach O to say that. Plan and simple. But Woodward should have side stepped this question. No need to give that debacle any more air.

I am wholly unimpressed by him. To date his only real accomplishments are overpaying for coaches at his previous stops.

Now he’s gonna commit unforced errors like this and embrace a total SJW mentality? Nah. I’ll pass on giving him a thumbs up.

The swamp in Washington crashed the economy, divided our country, and made everything as political as possible just to get someone that wasn’t one of them out of the White House.

Trump was not great and he is flawed but he is not nearly as terrible or flawed as the rest of that cesspool that is Washington DC.

Ok Woodward, what answer was appropriate when on national tv he was asked about Trump?

"Trump, screw that racist."

"I have no comment."

Trump had just treated the National Championship Tigers with respect and by all accounts the players had a great time at the White House. When the interviewed happened, Trump was pushing to get football back going.

Our country listens too much to weak minded fools who get their feelings hurt over BS.

Apparently Woodward is easily influenced by the mob.

JBE was AT THE HEISMAN CEREMONY. I know that we have a tendency to hate the guy at the top here, but Woodward has been an absolute disappointment in every way.

yep that simple, either don't answer it or just say we talked privately. instead SJW scotty managed to piss all over himself with his answer. He allowed a retard journalist to expose LSU football to a shite show again, piss off boosters for his stance and give bama more ammo.

Scott has pretty much botched every last thing he has touched since being AD other than keeping WW.

SJW Scotty either forced Bo on O or allowed him to not interview him, he has allowed misstep after misstep to happen.

The fricking BOLD statement he made about the assclown President doing a fantastic job or some shite. Well, that shows he was out of touch with his fricking team. That one statement he made told the majority of his team, which happens to be black in case you haven't noticed, is that he supports the rhetoric bullshite Trump spewed and has always spewed against black and brown people.

Now, it's fricking idiots like you that can see the forest for the trees because you're so far up Trump's arse.
