If that bastard had kept his mouth shut and not spoiled Miles to Michigan in 2007 this could have all been their headache.

Meh, if Herby doesn’t do that... we may not win the title that year.

It's hilarious that people honestly think Herbie speaking on ESPN had anything to do with that outcome.

Hard to believe he would have left Alabama after one season

A lot of revisionist history the last few days and a few people who claim to be haters popping up after being quiet for 15 years

I remember when my dad kept telling me I was a fair weather fan and was so ungrateful for my continued bashing and trashing of Les Miles.

Turns out I was being entirely too generous to ole Lesticles.

Dad better be ready for me to rub it in his face next time I see him.

I was trashing him in the first half the 2010s. I think I still have some old posts on this board floating around where I do just that.

no you weren’t

I absolutely was. A lot of people have given me shite in the past about hating Orgeron. But, the truth is that I really did hate Miles after the Tennessee debacle in '05 and wanted him gone any chance we got.

No you can blame Bill Arnsparger for us hiring Mike Archer instead of getting Steve Spurrier.

And then Bill went to Gainesville and brought on SOS.

I’m a known Miles hater myself. Called him out as not being the nice guy folks thought he was after the way he treated JL on 1/9.

You'd have hired Dantonio, or someone else like that. Ferentz? Rich Rod? Mike Stoops might have seemed good at the time?

There were a lot of dudes that didn't stand the test of time that were pretty touted back then.

Hate? That’s not healthy. there are things that Miles clearly deserves shite over but this one I’ll never understand.

ETA: He deserves more shite for the time we actually beat Tennessee when they had 13 players on defense.

Bingo!! Just look at the last few days as a hint of why he wasn’t EVER going to be the coach at UM.

lulz

Leslie Miles WAS NEVER offered the Mich job. Bo made it very clear that after Miles sexed some of the coaches wives while he was on staff there, he was never to return to coach there. And he hasnt.

The Miles to Mich rumors were Les agents attempt (with permission) at getting raises. And it worked. Twice.
quote:

LSU head football coach Les Miles signed a contract extension Thursday to keep him at the university through 2012 and end speculation that Miles might leave for a job at the University of Michigan.

quote:

The announcement of Miles' new deal came a day after Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon flew to Baton Rouge to meet with Miles to inform him of their decision to hire Brady Hoke

Lloyd Carr coached at Michigan into Jan. 2008 bowl game and nobody was trying to seriously shite can him going into the season after an 11-2 year.

Bo Schembechler died in 2006. The "Ghost of Bo" had no say in it.

Don't make shite up.
