Federal prosecutors have dismissed more than one-third of cases stemming from last summer’s violent protests in downtown Portland, when protesters clashed with federal agents. KGW reviewed federal court records and found 31 of the 90 protest cases have been dismissed by the U.S. Department of Justice, including a mix of misdemeanor and felony charges.
There's a new sheriff in town I guess....
This is okay:
It's apparently okay (it's actively encouraged) to destroy businesses, homes, and buildings in places like Portland, Kenosha, Atlanta, Louisville, Cincy, New Orleans, Rochester, Minneapolis, Baton Rouge, Houston, Chicago, etc.. But don't frick with the ruling class or their livelihoods. The people that focused the anger and rage on the people actually responsible for the problems in this country on January 6th won't be treated with kid gloves. And I am pretty concerned that laws will be written to "control" retail investors that drove up the price of GME stock, rather than focusing on the real problem.

I don't see the big deal. They have insurance.

...so they can save the funding to pay for billboards in places like Harahan about the faux 1/6 “insurrection”.
Also, Poli board.

I know it was meant as sarcasm, but if the charges are dropped, does that mean the classification of damage caused by a riot should also drop. Therefore, actually making it a coverable event?

No consequences for burning down cities flyover states so long as you are doing the dirty work for the right people.

They are still protesting and causing damage over there every once in a while. If the damages aren't covered, a lot of those businesses are moving out to the suburbs.

They have to spend more resources on the capital protests so the Nancy’s feel safe.

Nancy and her friends in congress caused most of the problems that people are angry about (and yes, BLM, ANTIFA, and Trump voters are all pissed about the same thing even though they'd never admit it). I don't condone storming the capital, but Washington DC is totally screwed when/if those parties figure out that they can be united if they stopped listening to the media and our politicians that work to divide them every day.

The funny thing is that more damage was done to federal buildings across the country than DC, yet elitists want you to believe that the right wing nut jobs were one door away from having control of the entire building and harming every member of congress.

They’ve been dismissing a lot of these cases for the past few years. They dismissed almost all of them that were arrested in DC the day of Trump’s inauguration.

All over a no good piece of shite drug addict and convicted violent criminal.

I bet the ones that aren't dismissed are "right wing" agitators

I wouldn't be surprised if they let off the worst offenders and keep the lighter offenses to be recorded as a, "ya see, the summer of riot violence is overreaction by the right."
