We've only been out to eat inside a restaurant 2 or 3 times over the past year. We have gone a handful of times and sat outside. Honestly, we haven't really missed it much.

We are incredibly social people, so thought lockdown back when that happened would have killed us to do. But oddly, had a great ole time.

People who normally don't go out much anyway were melting down in internet posts about being miserable in lockdown, and we were just enjoying 2pm cocktails on the patio or boiling a sack of crawfish on a random Tuesday. It was weird how people who are generally homebodies were seemingly going so stir crazy.

But our enjoyment of it hit a stopping point by May when things started to open and we could leave home. I'm just not a homebody for any sort of long term.

It's usually not about being a pussy. It's more about staking out a tribal position and then being unable to retreat from it. So they claim they are doing it to help their fellow man, and we are just a bunch of selfish people who don't car about those who are dying.

Like Cuomo said, "If it saves just one life..."

I went hiking in snowmass,co in september and didn’t think to bring a mask while out on the trail. I got some MEAN stares while passing others for no more than two seconds. Didn’t think to even bring one since i was outside and for the most part away from others.....

I went to my Doctor a few weeks ago for my annual check up and once he walked in the exam room he told me I could ditch the mask if I wanted, because, and I quote, "it's a pointless feel good gesture."

I only wear masks when I have to, and I was one of the first to exit isolation back in early April, but your doctor is an idiot. It's fine for him to say, "Ditch the mask if you want." But to say it's pointless shows a willful ignorance. It's tantamount to saying there is no reason to wear a helmet while playing tackle football.

The dude from the daily show apparently. He still does promos with a sweat shirt, scruffy, patchy beard that he can muster and from what appears to be his home. What a pussy.

Never seen his show but seen his commercials which I suppose are supposed to be funny but never once came close to laughing on any of them.

Like most he probably breaks the rules when no one is looking.

The only person presenting willful ignorance is yourself, and your example is fricking stupid. A football helmet prevents injury. A cloth/paper mask does not prevent Covid. Period.

No it doesn't. It reduces the risk and seriousness of injury.

Correct, and nobody has claimed it does. It reduces the risk of transmission.

100%

It's just optics.
We shouldn't do something because of "how it looks".

It's fricking stupid.

My fricking God how pathetic. Although I'm willing to bet these people didn't have much going on preCOVID. I'm betting their life was a social media presence and its being boosted by the virtue signaling.

The one Covid good thing besides spending more time with my kids last spring was the fact flights have been dirt cheap. Round trip to New Jersey in June with hotel for $385 from NOLA. Round trip to Orlando in August for $225. Round trip to Charleston, SC in Oct for $425. Round trip to Denver first class $550. Can't beat the prices! But last couple trips to Dallas and Arizona which have been in 2021 have been pricer along with full planes...as people have started traveling again. But that trip to New Jersey we were 4 of 6 people on plane...it was crazy.

It certainly does not completely prevent it, just as a football helmet does not completely prevent head injuries. The mask certainly DOES lessen the spread. Anyone arguing otherwise is either stupid or so partisan that they can't see straight.

We make fun of those on the left who wear two masks and stay 10' apart AFTER both getting double-vaccinated. Well, the "masks don't do anything" crowd is the right wing version of those left wing idiots.

Then explain why countries with strict mask mandates and universal mask wearing spiked just like those without?

I've gone in restaurants but only for takeout. Doesn't bother me if people want to eat indoors. I've never had a day off during COVID, even during lockdown I was in the office, so things have been pretty normal for me.

You seriously just said football helmets don’t prevent injury?

I asked this before when you lied about things basically being normal now and nobody going out previously before the shutdowns happenedand you didn’t have an answer:

How are you able to just flat out lie about something in an attempt to prove a point? I legitimately would like to know, as it could be a very beneficial skill in certain instances.

Correct, and nobody has claimed it does.

And another lie.

It reduces the risk of transmission.

Show proof that this has/is happening.
