God bless you two. Hold onto each other tightly and be there for each other. A counselor at the hospital told my wife and I (after our son died) that 75% of marriage end in divorce after a child died. My wife and I were so strong that we knew we would not be in that stat.
But, we did not grieve and recover together as we should; we each got lost in ourselves. We ended up divorcing after being together 23 years. I am praying for yall
I won't lie and say it's been easy. It has been a huge struggle for us but we are holding strong. We each have our bad days at varying times. It is just something that is now part of your life and you need to learn how to live with it. We will say a prayer for you today brother. Stay strong.

Ted, no words will ever be enough for you or your family. My family lost our nephew 5 years ago and the wound is still raw. It’s a daily struggle for my sister and brother in Law. They are comforted by the fact that they know, they will be reunited one day with him for eternity. I hope you and your family are able to find sense of peace in your new normal.

I’m sorry for your loss. I don’t wish that upon any parent of children. I can’t imagine what you’ve been through.

Man I am so sorry for your loss, and everyone else in this thread who has lost a loved one. If you don’t mind me asking, why are the months in French?

My wife's first language is French. Caleb was learning to speak both French and English simultaneously. It was adorable when he would mix his English and French.

You guys have me tearing up over here. I am going to give my little man a huge hug after his nap.
One of my groomsmen accidentally backed over his 2-year old yesterday and killed him in the driveway. I can't imagine going through losing a child. I feel for you all.

Me and my wife lost a young son and my namesake almost 30 years ago. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him. Hang in there buddy and I'm so sorry for your loss.

That’s really cool. I’m sure raising bilingual kids is a challenging but rewarding endeavor. Thanks again for sharing your son’s story.

I am so sorry. My ex-wife and I had had a very late term miscarriage. She had to deliver the body. It was a boy. We buried him too. That took a toll. Then, 8 years later we buried our 10 year old son. All of it took one hell of a toll on me.
Jesus. Praying for both you and your ex. No person should have to go through what y’all went through.

I just read every post here and I can not thank you all enough for the kind words. They all mean a lot. And 855 upvotes. Thank you all for your words, letting me vent, and for helping me remember and honor my son.
No problem. While people can be dicks here, when push comes to shove people are here for you and are actually wonderfully kind people. Not the cesspool that is Twitter, 4chan, and many other message boards. God bless you and your family.

This thread is tough. I pray everyone here and their loved ones stay healthy. You all are some strong guys, I feel weak reading some of these stories.
