Yesterday the kid went to sleep under a pile of sheets; magically the kid now went to sleep under a pile of blankets.

And the kid had enjoyed playing in the snow the day before, so did have some (ahem) exposure to the cold.

The discovery in that will likely make the parents look awful. I guess they think it’ll get settled but I doubt it.

Mexicans in Texas. The only way they’d be more of a shoe-in to get paid is if they’re illegals.

I think I remember reading that the kid's younger brother was also in the same bed, I could be wrong, though. That kid didn't die of hypothermia.

I hope the electric company sues Biden for cutting off the pipeline and AOC for demanding windmills that froze.

IIRC, one of the stories from Saturday said that the previous night, a year and a half old relative had shared the now-deceased boy's bed. The relative might have be a step-cousin?

They should sue Joe Biden and the green energy lobby for not having enough coal gas and nuclear power online ready to go and sending money for gender studies in Pakistan instead

Power company counter suit for negligence for not providing another heat force. No generator or a car to sit in.

Hey man... kindly eat shite. I agree with you the utility didn’t seek out a kid to kill but it’s fair to allow the situation to move through the courts.

So the autopsy shows he died of hypothermia while a 3.5 year old in the next bed suffered no ill effects of the cold?

It is a very sad situation, but science doesn’t support them jumping to this already. Many of us with kids suffered through no heater when the power went out for multiple days. This happened in less than 24 hours basically.

But of course, sue them for $100,000,000.

Kid died because ERCOT is idiotic and y’all blame the kid’s parents and call him an anchor baby.

Kid died because parents decided to stay because “it didn’t seem that bad.” Even let the kid go out and play in the snow, which is super dangerous if you don’t have a place to warm up.

Something isn’t adding up. Hyperthermia typically doesn’t surgically strike one person within the house.

My grandpa and millions of other Americans grew up with no electricity and they never died of hypothermia. Maybe they should sue themselves for being ignorant asswipes that illegally hopped a border and put their kid in that situation.

Look, I find this story as absurd as anyone, but this irrelevant and honestly means nothing to the merits of the story. Not every hispanic person in Texas is an illegal, so please stop with this shite.
