Outside of the two pick sixes vs Auburn, most Bama fans were thrilled with what they saw.

But lets be real, two pick sixes against Auburn that turned out to be the difference in the game are naturally going to leave a stain.

Andre Ware threw the prettiest passes I have ever seen. I once saw him flick a 50 yard pass that was a perfect spiral. The guy was super gifted.

JaMarcus is the greatest QB specimen I have ever seen. Perfect size, enough wiggle and a superhuman arm. I still don't understand how he busted. He should have been legendary. Biggest waste of talent ever.

Those two guys, plus many more, have taught me that I can't project QB careers. There are just too many unknown factors that influence success. Jones could be a great starter or out of the league in a few years. It is a crap shoot..

Jones is better off going mid to late first round. He'll likely be picked by a team with a solid roster (hello Saints) instead of being thrown to the wolves.

What really matter in the NFL as a QB is your IQ and ability to process information quickly. That’s why Brady is so great. Almost every starter in the NFL has a physical attribute, most of them have multiple physical attributes, that are greater than his. But his intelligence and consistency is why he is successful.

It’s why Tua is struggling in the NFL and Mac will likely be better at that level than him. Tua is a one read QB, Mac can process defenses reads quickly and get through progressions. That’s why Burrow was so damn good and translated to the NFL well; the guy is sharp and can process info quickly.

Will he be successful in the NFL? Who the frick knows. Even top picks and can’t miss guys bust at more than a 50% rate. But Mac has two things that translate well, accuracy and intelligence. Does he have enough of both to work at the next level? I guess we’ll find out.

I don’t think he will be a bust, but it all depends on Meyer....... the Jags need a lot more help than just a QB.....

One of Mac's greatest attributes is his pocket awareness. He is great in the pocket. He is not going to scramble for a 30 yard gain, or throw a rocket on a full sprint, but he has a sixth sense on when and where to move, and when and where to throw the ball when the pocket is breaking down. And he has ice in his veins as far as reacting to pressure.

You don't have to escape the pocket as much when you are good at absorbing it and getting rid of the ball accordingly.

And when your pocket is good and your first option gets open.

The one at the goal line he had Kat Bryant in his throat as soon as the play got off. It was a bad playcall

He had room to climb the pocket to avoid the pressure, but he didn't feel it. Therefore, his pocket presence failed him. It's not that difficult to comprehend.

one of the worst olines in the league vs an elite front 7

Joe was in a bad situation from the first play

Same way they evaluated Burrow who never played from behind and threw to Jefferson/Chase/Marshall I'd imagine.

And Brady is in a class all by himself. No idea why he's continually brought as an "example"in these discussions.

Good lord, give the kid some time. Why are so many on here expert talent evaluators AFTER the fact. Not sure I heard anyone saying this about in '18 or '19.

BTW,I don't think Joe Montana or Ben Rothlesburger are knocking it out of the park when it comes to IQ
